When Harris lost, largely because she did a lot of California Dem things, I was convinced there will not be another California Dem who is remotely viable in presidential politics for a generation. They'll try, they'll raise and spend a lot of money, and it won't matter. I still think that's right.

Yeah, that was really helpful. I understood the scale of wrongdoing was huge but it's worse than I imagined. It's hard to come up with a sporting punishment that would be overkill, seems like straight up seizing the team with no restitution to owners and auctioning it off at a discount would be ok.

one of the reasons people let me get away with playing D&D the way I do is because if my character is going to die because of their deep and horrible flaws, well, that's how their story ends. The idiot died and probably deserved it. I'll just imagine a new horrible guy who can join next time.

I would guess their thinking is the manual override is for the minimal inputs required to course correct a situation the AI is not prepared for. Like doing something tricky if they get high centered on debris or stuck on the floor or something, then turn it back to the AI immediately.
