I got my flu / covid shots a few days before a cruise, totally jinxed it didn’t I? Been really lucky so far this year too.

Thoosies will say it's ridiculous I'm sure but based on personal experience, it's too aggressive of a ride. www.orlandosentinel.com/2026/10/06/…

I've been spending a lot more time on Open Coaster trying to get it in a state where I can open up registrations. It has Mastodon sign in and I'm going to be using that to offer up some swag bags first to opencoaster.net folks then to anyone else with what I have left. Can't believe it's this […]

I'm getting so tired of the everything is AI witch hunt. Everyone said _all_ of the merch at Knotts was AI. I was looking at it last night and while there was a couple questionable designs, most of it seemed outside the scope of what AI could do with proper screen prints. Also on that note it's […]

They also don't make it obvious that you can go back to the old style, but you have to install the "Proton" theme (why is it called that? Probably to confuse people). Then fiddle with about:config by turning `browser.nova.enabled` to false.

What a disgrace California can launch a vibe coded app from a firm not even located in California. Also looks like it forces you to make an account. Watchduty is free and doesn’t require an account. Watchduty is also a California not for profit. Use Watchduty, not this trash aware app […]

There’s just simply no way a ride could reopen after that many lawsuits filed. It would be just too easy of a target anytime anyone got off feeling dizzy. Clearly there was an issue with it, especially in the last few years so I think this is the right call as much as it sucks […]

Happy to report that @kagihq has greatly improved their Stop Slop reports. MUUUUCH higher success rate. Still room for improvement as some very obvious ones are still marked as not or inconclusive.

Whatever @1password did has made their Chrome extension basically unusable. Clicking it takes about a minute for it to even show the dropdown. So glad they've gone all in on AI... really paying off

In case anyone needs it. Insane it's not just a simple toggle. The one that kills me is the "learn from this app" having to be toggled for every single goddamn app. Why do AI people have such a problem with consent? discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2500…

So the Planet Coaster developers are working with Disney on a Creative Management Simulation game, that they will fully fund. Interesting! Gonna be wild if we get an actual Disney Parks management game!

Finally managed to secure a reservation (well one that wasn't insanely priced) for the DCL WBTA on the Wish. Looks like this is a VERY popular itinerary. I mean, it has an overnight stop in Iceland. Just insane that it fully booked up before Gold/Silver could even get in there.

Stardust wasn’t as good as it was hyped. The green side in particular was too jerky. Also someone got injured so there’s that.
