An image of when George Takei said "Oh my!" However, instead of, "oh my," the caption says, "Oumuamua." At the top it says, "A cylindrical asteroid?"

I am being dead serious. Judd Stone allegedly talked about this asteroid fantasy so often that the agency's No. 2, Brent Webster, discussed it with him and, later fearing for his and his family's safety, consulted with other top officials in the AG's office.

Yesterday, my 5-year old daughter received a toy unicorn as one of her birthday presents. After carefully examining it this morning, she confidently declared: "Unicorns don't have vaginas."

Just a reminder, when the word DEI is used like this, it means the n-word...with a hard R.

Trump likes strong-men that stay in charge of countries for a lifetime. He aligns with Putin/Xi/Kim and others like that, because that's what he wants here. If you frame all of his actions in that perspective, everything he does makes sense. He didn't tariff China partially because of this.

This is weird. I'm extremely anti-maga and antifascist, and that should be obvious from my posts, hopefully. I was never a furry and never posted porn or advertise it. I've never trolled anybody. Are people making fake block lists to sew chaos on Bluesky, or am I just catching accidental strays?

We all thought a super-smart AI would kill us by outsmarting us or by taking a directive too literally. Nope, it's sadder than that! A super-dumb AI (LLM), that can't even do basic math, is going to kill us by using all our power and water.

Did not all the POC who are also Magats not realize that "DEI" was just another way to say the n-word? It wasn't about policy, justice, or merit at all. It was just another way to be racist, like Reagan used "welfare queens" back in the day. I thought this was obvious, but I guess not.

1/ I have a story like this that will take a few skeets. My job used to have me travel the Caribbean a lot.The 2nd time I went to Jamaica, I was dating a woman who was from a supposedly "bad neighborhood," here in Florida. She told me "be careful in Kingston; it's dangerous." She'd never been there.

Last night I was playing an FTP mobile game. When you run out of lives you can watch an ad to get another. What's crazy is that the ad was a car website, and in the game's emulation of that website WAS ANOTHER AD. How the fuck is there an ad in my ad? I don't understand that meta. Who's paying who?

Yes! This is exactly how I feel. Brian Thompson, like Kissinger, was responsible for the death of at least a million people. He killed for profit. He sacrificed the health and lives of millions just to increase shareholder value. I would prefer that we had a justice system that saw it this way.

"92 million low-income people in the U.S. states—everyone whose income is less than 200 percent of the federal poverty line—have some basic aspect of their lives decided by AI" www.techtonicjustice.org/reports/ines... this is a damning report
reads: The Ways AI Decides How Low-Income People Work, Live, Learn, and Survive

The use of artificial intelligence, or AI, by governments, landlords, employers, and other powerful private interests restricts the opportunities of low-income people in every basic aspect of life: at home, at work, in school, at government offices, and within families. AI technologies derive from a lineage of automation and algorithms that have been in use for decades with established patterns of harm to low-income communities. As such, now is a critical moment to take stock and correct course before AI of any level of technical sophistication becomes entrenched as a legitimate way to make key decisions about the people society marginalizes.

Employing a broad definition of AI, this report represents the first known effort to comprehensively explain and quantify the reach of AI-based decision-making among low-income people in the United States. It establishes that essentially all 92 million low-income people in the U.S. states—everyone whose income is less than 200 percent of the federal poverty line—have some basic aspect of their lives decided by AI.

Many say Trump's nominees could be seen as comical or a joke. It's not funny. It's very scary, and here's why: He wants to destroy our institutions so he can rule without resistance. To do that you either destroy or humiliate the institutions that would resist your autocracy.

Trump's nominee for Secretary of Defense has a Deus Vult tattoo, signifying how steeped he is in far-right Christian nationalist ideology. Very normal candidate to lead the largest bureaucracy in the world.

22/22 These people are no longer outliers. They are at least 33% of Americans, if not more. I scream internally, "How can this happen? How is this even possible?" But I know how it happened. Remember the part about lying to myself? I am The Good Liar, to myself, because the answer is so horrible

21/22 Again, this is not a stupid person, at least not a work. Do we live in some kind of distorted version of Severance? Instead of separating our memories from work and home, are we separating our intelligence? Are we sending the smart version of us to work and the dumb version of us home?

20/22 So I asked what policy do you like from Desantis that's so good that it overrides these other two things that you care so much about? Turns out, she doesn't know any of Desantis's policies. She just thinks he's the good guy. She deeply believes he's for the same things that she's for.

TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
19/22 "If you really wanted those things you should have voted against him. That was your '50/50' shot to vote for the things you wanted." Nonononono...she won't vote against Desantis, hell would freeze over first.

TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
18/22 She commented to me, "It should have been just 50/50. If more people wanted for it, it should pass." I asked her if she voted for Desantis in the last election. Of course, she did...she LOVES Desantis. I said "Desantis is against both of those things. That was your 50/50 vote right there."

17/22 Florida had constitutional amendments on ballot for legalization of marijuana and the right to an abortion. Because they're amendments to the constitution of Florida, they require 60% to pass. They both narrowly failed by just a couple of percentage points, getting 56% and 57% respectively.
000
TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
16/22 Example 2: This co-worker, a Gen-X white lady, was upset that the Florida Amendments 3 and 4 did not pass. She believes there should be exceptions on abortion for rape, incest, life of the mother, and for children with life-ending birth defects. She's also very pro marijuana legalization.

15/22 However, that's not the case. He's a pretty smart guy. He grasps complicated work issues adequately. He has the capability to reason and deduce reasonable conclusions from complex situations.

14/22 Telling this to somebody who's never met this guy, you would think he's the dumbest mf you've ever met. With opinions like that, you'd think he could barely clothe himself and drooled all over his furniture at home.

13/22 I also mentioned, why move such theoretical mountains to connect Kamala to Diddy, when there are nearly a hundred pictures of Trump and Diddy hanging out, and direct quotes of them praising each other? He's said he's never seen any of those pictures or heard those quotes.

TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
12/22 I mentioned to him about the recently released recordings of Epstein, mentioning how close he was to Trump. Why vote for Trump? He was one of Epstein's best buddies, and there is strong evidence he was involved in the raping of young girls. He said he'd never heard of such a thing.

TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
11/22 Also he is strongly anti-pedophile and thinks that Trump is leading the charge on getting pedophiles put in jail. He believes that all the celebrities that were supporting Kamala were only doing so, because they're on the "diddy tapes," and Kamala will shield them by hiding the evidence.

10/22 As a white, middle-aged guy, it's tough to understand that. You've been told your whole life that the racist is the guy who shouts the n-word at teenagers, and not the rich guy pushing for school vouchers. It's hard to attack the policy without him thinking that he's the one I'm attacking.
000
TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
9/22 I was educated that many POC feel that being racist isn't necessarily what you feel in your heart; it's about policy; it's about the institutions that we live in. You can care deeply about people of color, but if you vote for racist policies and racist politicians, you're still a fucking racist

8/22 This guy believes Trump is a champion of civil rights for black people, almost as significant as MLK, and Democrats are holding back Trump from helping black people. As another white guy, who also has had some very close friends who were black over the years, I tried to explain that ...

TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
7/22 Example 1: This coworker, white guy and Gen-Y. He has a wife and kids, works hard, and will bend over backwards to help anybody. He's the average working class, middle class guy. He is almost one of the first people to form a strong bond with people of color that work at our company.

6/22 You might say, "they can't be good people if they voted for Trump," and yes there's a strong argument for that. However, it's not that straightforward. Let me give you two examples:

5/22 They've been so severely brainwashed by right wing media, that outside of work, their perception of reality, of truth, of who is on what side, differs so greatly from mine, it's as if we live in different dimensions.

TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
4/22 I work with several Gen-Y and Gen-X republicans, who vote for Trump, some enthusiastically and some tentatively. I have to normalize relations with them, because I can't afford not to. Some of them I've known for over 10 years. In the case of these two examples, they're genuinely good people.

TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
3/22 I probably should have realized this earlier, or maybe I did and just didn't want to admit it, because it's a scary realization. I am not a good liar, except when I lie to myself.

TroubleMan72 @troubleman72.bsky.social · 12/11/2024
2/22 We see the funny videos from The Good Liars, and laugh at those people, thinking they're outliers - The Good Liars talking to The Good Outliers. I'm becoming to realize those people aren't outliers.

1/22 I'm feeling a little bit dumbfounded right now about how people can be so misinformed, so I'm going to do a little bit of "old man shouting at clouds." When I was typing this out, I just couldn't stop, and it got very long. Bluesky may not be the right place for long rants, so sorry in advance
