Since I have some eyes for motorcycles at the moment, the past car meet I was at also featured the Ducati's friend, this heavily (heavily) customized '60s Triumph Bonneville. Just another gorgeous thing! [ #motorcycle #motorbike #photography #motosky #biker #triumph #bonneville #custom ]
Custom Triumph Bonneville. '68 or '69 if I recall the owner correctly. The engine of course was the giveaway as to what this custom was at least being powered by. That and the Triumph hoodie its owner was wearing. A 1 gallon tank good for about 60 miles! It'll get you wherever you need to go as long as it isn't far. The owner said the seat was "liberating," I think. Smooths roads only, in other words.

Triton 650 build - Classics - Triumph Motorcycle Forum
I bought a loosely assembled pile of parts dragged from the back of a garage where it had resided for more than 30 years. Essentially, a slimline frame with mostly Commando cycle parts and parts for a 1934 CS1 Cammy engine. I got very excited about the prospect of a Manx style racer until I checked out the price of CS1 parts and realised I was about £10,000 away from a running motor.😂 Anyway I found a nice little 6T Iron head motor and decided to go for a Triton cafe racer.

31 January - BMW Offloads Husqvarna - On This Day - Triumph Motorcycle Forum
In 2013, BMW completed the sale of Husqvarna to Pierer Industrie, owner of KTM, and later that year the whole kit and kaboodle became a subsidiary of KTM itself, which is where it stilll sits…for now. BMW apparently had aspirations of Husqvarna being their bike equvalent of the Mini. Presumably someone eventually saw sense and put the ‘for sale’ sign up at the factory.
