Every other channel is either showing Yellowstone or is a network that makes Fox News blush, and there hasn’t even been an inauguration yet.

Four channels on a guide: Newsmax, Newsmax 2, The First, and Salem News, all displaying variations of insanity.

A TV guide with multiple networks showing Yellowstone for some reason.

Inarguably, the greatest part of the entire Knightfall opus is the fact that Azrael Batman ditches the Batmobile in favor of the Bat-train.

Comics 2024 (Hoopla) Generally enjoyable, though felt rushed. Wished it was at least twice as long.

Comics 2024 I like this series in general, but this is one more edition of digital colors are too shiny.

If you see this, post a cool comic book cover. Had to find an actual picture because digital wasn’t doing justice.

One of my favorite things about reading old comics is reliving pop culture via the ads, something we entirely miss out on in modern monthlies as I’ve not seen an ad from anything other than a Big 2 parent company in ages.

Back cover of a 90s comic featuring an ad for Aerosmith Aero-classics and a dude who is clearly the love child of Steven Tyler and a chicken bursting from an egg to either scream an aforementioned Aero-classic chorus or do some edgelord stand-up comedy in front of a brick wall like in a typical NYC comedy club.

Colossus is the dude who asks for advice and then says, “fuck it.”

Robin Volume 3: Secrets and Shadows by Joshua Williamson, Norm Rapamund, and Roger Cruz. I didn’t take to the first two issues of this series I bought as floppies, but I eventually got into it though trades on Hoopla and it was a fun, short series.

Saga 66 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples I never read Saga in single issue outside of trying to jump in at the 30s for no apparent reason. It’s fun that Hoopla has some single issues, and I’ve been enjoying it in serial.

12. The Complete Peanuts Volume 1 by Charles Schulz This collection was always something I wanted to read, but was a little too intimidated or whatever to buy. Lo and behold, it was a bonus borrow on Hoopla and I plowed right through it.

12. Behold, Behemoth by Tate Brombal and Nick Robles Ever since I read Robles’ Doctor Mirage, I’ll read anything he does. This is a beautiful looking book and an original take on post-apocalyptic stories.

11. Knee Deep: Book One by Joe Flood Nothing too mind blowing here, but well-executed with good character work.

10. Okinawa by Susumu Higa, Translatators: Jocelyne Allen, Andrew Woodrow Butcher, Christopher Butcher I don’t even know what to say about this book. It’s magnificent, beautiful and heartbreaking. Expert storytelling on display for over 500 pages.

9. Utown by Cab I enjoyed this charming story about gentrification in Montreal, and I wish I had read it as a webcomic because I bet it was awesome as a serial (Hoopla)

8. Star Wars: The High Republic Cavan Scott and Ario Anindito

7. Ms. Marvel Volume 1: No Normal G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, Ian Herring Read and loved this years ago, and it was free on Hoopla right before The Marvels hit theaters. There are so many lazy legacy characters anymore, but Kamala is anything but. Great book. (Hoopla)
