The thing that I can't get outta my head in re: Kraft v Macklemore, is the amount of taxpayer money that goes into building these stadiums. I know Gillette is mostly an exception, as the stadium build itself was privately funded. But about $72 Million went into it from tax coffers.

I was a kid during 9/11. When you're a kid, everyone is "old." Today, watching the remembrance, I'm taken by how many people my age were killed that day. So many young people in their 20s and 30s. So much life left for them to live 😔

My sister's story is just one of a million like it from that day. While I'm left with this memory, I'm lucky that I wasn't left with the scar of a dead loved one. To this day, 25 years later, 9/11 is a difficult one to remember. Which is funny, bc no matter what, I can't forget.
