My vent art about learning that you're not supposed to have such a hard time keeping your insteps flat on the ground

My tan spider fursona from behind , on top of a yoga block on their knees, left leg out to the side for a bit of relief from this stupid stretch for plantar flexion . An anthropomorphic megaponera ant massages the sole of the left foot, while a band legged earwig measures the space between the purple exercise mat and the instep of the right foot with a very small measuring tape . My fursona looks back with a sad and annoyed expression, the other two serious and stone faced and serious about their work. There's pale curtains in the background to the left, and the side of a wooden shelf visible to the right . A sliver of floor is visible beneath the mat, grey linoleum inset with stones and Everything is bathed in orange light . just some artefacts from my Life

Not my greatest perspective work by a mile and it took much self restraint not to correct everything with mesh transform once the pencil was scanned but I did not because it truly is never that serious.. I don't think this composition is very flattering either but that part is more in line with my priorities and a more straightforward goal here was to not use any reference and that did go pretty well all things considered. I also do not own a yoga block and instead actually use a creepcat dragon plush on top of two books to do this stretch and it still sucks so I kind of wish I did have professional help but I didn't want to draw all that maybe I'm just lazy and also a bad person . These are meant to be the same ant and earwig featured in previous grounding exercise artworks

Jusr somefing for a discord buddy . I would ahve leaned harder on the illuminated manuscript sort of style but I thought it would be a little funnier this way

Long necked creature stares at a sawfly larvae wrapped around a tree branch . I left most of the paper blemishes in place so you can probably see a lot of dust from the scanner if you Pixel Peep but I also tried to mix a lot of the colors manually save for the body of the Beast, who is also drawn with just a bit more detail and definition than anything else ; I don't think I fully achieved the exact look I wanted because I'm not super interested in patterned brushes but the background is also manually mixed in some attempt to get the yellowed parchment look ; A wavy bit of green grass spans the bottom, more saturated patches of orange and yellow cutting through - The creature's feet don't quite touch it. They have dinosaur-like haunches and a long torso with small arms that curl down, striped fur covering most of the body save for the also striped forearms and shins onward - pale blues on the exposed skin and a darker blue on the fur. Its neck is curved into the space between the tree branch to look closer at the green bodied and yellow headed insect, arms outstretched in front of itself as those things do . There's definitely more detailed trees in the typical manuscript but I liked how average the pineappleesque ones looked though my shaky Hand does not do it much justice . This one probably would have been more fun traditionally but I'm not getting the MOST space lately but hopefully I will get the opportunity again, I'm kind of itching to draw other people's designs more often but I think I've been approached for art trades like twice in my life but I GUESS I get it I can't imagine its the highest quality of work ever . It was a nice hit to my confidence to be asked of this though they did offer me something back and as much as I love what I've seen of their work so far I think my body would rather kill me than allow me to ask for something

Not much of a hedgehog+The Gods Must Be Craaaazay

There are four little figures messing with my character , all belonging to friends and my partner, and all dressed in white robes and shawls. The topmost is some kind of alien, grey and kind of looks like a lungfish in the face with the natural smile but with bigger eyes and dark seaweed colored hair, a mask resembling a smiley face worn on their red shawl - they are smashing a globe over the head of my character . A pink bat with dark hair and a gold crown lies back with their knees up on the pedipalp-arm closer to the bed, hand close to their chin with a serious look. Their shawl is Green and A blue dragon is to their right where the arm and the neck meet, a yellow band around their waist and a gold arrow on the tip of their tail - they tug at the corner of my spider's mouth. Just below, a skunk with an orange shawl on the mattress itself blows an antiquated trumpet into the tip of the pedipalp . All the little guys give off a slight cold glow

Not my most researched artwork ever and I kind of wanted it to be funnier than it ended up looking but I am a bland sort lolll Just actually some sentimental DRIVEL but it was fun . I don't have any confidence in this art Shit and it's hard enough trying to bring myself to share anything and frankly most other people have felt like a big metaphorical jar on my Flame for one reason or another so while it's a sentiment I've expressed many times I'm glad there's like a few people who believe in anything I can do visually. None of them seem to confidently proclaim themselves artists at least for the moment so I have to assume I'm some kind of energy vampire because no Artist has inspired me even half as much to Do My Own Thing so sadly my art will continue to get more banal and strange and

ooou they keep making me post everything twice but I forgot to put flags anyway so Episode two NOT contrived btw the ankle is a good spot for drawing blood from pigeons like medically or something though I also wanted to redesign the Parasite because i would never make two consistent drawing

An anthropomorphic grey pigeon offers their foot to a kedfly in the foreground as a suitable location, in follow up to the quoted post. The kedfly wrings their first pair of hands and tentatively stretches out the right median arm without touching while the pigeon studies their reaction
I think this is a more boring composition of mine so I didn't focus as much on the brickwork or anything even though the drainage pipe IS still in frame on the right. The pigeon is grey with a bluish neck with some flecks of iridescence still visible in the dark, the top of their foot scaled and red with the bottom pale and smooth. The ked fly is a dark red, a paler orange on the thinner and inner parts of the shell

I'll keep from the abstract or my projected emotional side of this one for th time being since there were a lot of errors in the sketch so I got lazier than I would have wanted but I didn't want to wring myself dry for much longer so I feel some storytelling was hurt and I would like to work on designs and perspective a bit more later but for the time being i did always want to at least make something like this

A large grey velvet spider anthropoid bashfully lifts their red polo and lowers their underwear to show a similarly anthropomorphized if significantly smaller green lacewing that is clinging to their sleeve that a mite has lodged itself in their pubic region ... I think the initial idea was just an interest in reversing an unaware giant trope loll I always notice things touching me so I don't really find that stuff all too fun especially when a lot of creatures that actually find their way on to our bodies probably don't really care much about us so if ANYONE is unaware I like to think it's the little ones but anyway pubic lice came to mind which probably doesn't sound that hot but I just thought it'd be fun considering they live on genitalia and I like Those . Spiders don't really get lice so a mite was th closest thing, the angle was supposed to be more extreme and focused on them but I can't do ANYTHING actually . I wanted a bit of bush for them to actually cling to too but my pussy anatomy kind of not up to snuff so I ended up leaning more on spiders than humans . Wanted to do a velvet spider for a good bit and this was convenient due to weird interactions with them and ectoparasites where they do pick up mites but said mites have never been observed feeding and instead just kind of hang around the underside of the spider when threatened . I like that they look like those Precious Moments dolls though I did want to make this one maybe a little fatter 💔 the lacewing is meant to be there to remove the Intruder because it's not great to remove parasites by hand as it is but I think you can have a sort of elephant and mouse situation here and have to bring in an expert in mite Destruction as a natural predator though ideally nothing violent will happen . I could do another paragraph on parasite autonomy but a lot of things went wrong downstream of fumbling the angle in regards to body language so just pretend the spider is enjoying the attention

I'm glad long headed characters are back in fashion I think maybe it'd be weird to be so fucked up your mouth can't even chew proper but it's cute that termite workers take care of the soldiers we ALL got that weird Cousin who bites people

Messy sketch of an anthropomorphic termite soldier, squat on all fours (not all sixes I forgot to clean up th second pair of limbs but it was just to get the idea down..)
On real termite soldiers the neck is connected to the back of the elongated head but as in th caption I've been thinking about other long headed characters and I do like letting the rest of it hang over the back... Disproportionate amount of weight behind them I guess they would spend Most of their time having to crawl so we got the knuckle walker
The shrink wrapped eyes were a fun little thing to try out too, Even the most advanced of termite eyes are not super complex so they more often don't really have them even though you can see the imprints of where they should be on the real thing

I didn't want to look at the actual scene I was referencing so it's a little more relaxed but I think that's good for the idea that this is more about expectation than intimidation.. no need for threats in this kind of scenario as far as the real thing goes, I touched on it in the caption already but termite workers are pretty active and routine about feeding and cleaning the soldiers so I forwent a couple of flourishes like drool and more intense expressions 👽👽👽 I can't imagine it's exactly clear to the viewer even on a second or third look because I'm just not all that great at this kind of thing but I just thought it would be funny to have this framed in a creepy sort of way even though the worst emotion the cornered worker could be feeling is mild annoyance
