iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I haven't done it yet, but I plan to eventually do a wirelessectomy to all my appliances. Just, break all the antenna traces or equivalent. No functionality removed, technically speaking.

This is what really keeps me from even entertaining the thought of hosting my own LLM. It's bad enough every single thing is going to spy on me and then call home. I don't need something judging me after it saw my Plex library.

I did it so they have more time to learn how to work as a team and network. Alas, the art and nature programs I send my kids to don't have athletic scholarship money...

Some perspective: cancer can be cured now. I'm sitting through some as I post. And their shortsightedness only fails them more when you consider how awful the path to the cure is, even just for me who has an easy cancer to treat.

Side note... was one of the lucky ones who got their BC250 back when they were 70$....

X99! E5-2690 and 64gb of 2133 ecc ram. I spent close to 250 minus the case and PSU. Using a m4000 I got awhile ago for $40.. I would have rather not thought. But it at least makes me nostalgic for when I was cobbling random stuff into PCs back in the 90's...
