“They made this in two hours, why should I care?” No, they spent years inside a DAW, learning instruments and theory to get to the point where they could make a song that fast.

"There's two kinds of eulogies at funerals. One of them is 'this is what this guy did.' The other one is 'this is who this guy was.' When I'm dead and burned up and I'm ashes and I'm in the wind, I know which eulogy I want to have. I know what I want people to say about me at my funeral."

Something I heard tonight that I'll echo here. Whatever it is you do in life with your time while you're here, do it with purpose and give a shit, and surround yourself with people you love that also give a shit about the same things that you do.

VRChat is a vector into this community. It is not the end-all-be-all, thankfully. There is always room for new platforms for this type of expression. It's always been about new media art, not one game or their VC backers. I can't wait to see folks IRL at Detour and Beacon events this fall.

My oldhead britrock opinion is that if you’re making The Beatles/Blur/Oasis arguments, you better be listening to full albums. Its not enough to skim thru greatest hits compilations.

Worked very hard on the condo and it was a big personal win when we got bumped to 100 on Kitsune's bday. I was happy the map could support that party. I'm sorry to anyone ever recorded without consent at our events. That's immoral and wrong. We'll continue to be diligent to keep these creeps out.

On this Zero Cool day I want to point out that The Plague didn't do anything wrong. Call him an eco-terrorist but he only capsized one ship; costing Ellingson Mineral millions. He was stealing from the worst people possible so he could play VR and bone MILFs in peace. ACAB includes Crash Override.

Its 1994. You go to the local mall and a newly opened store has two standalone Virtuality 2000cs machines w/ Visette 2 headsets, networked for multiplayer. $5 to play a single round of Pac Man or Zone Hunter. There’s a line 30 ppl deep to try it out. Everyone agrees that VR is the next big thing.

19 years ago, I was making avant techno-pop inspired by the French touch/blog house of the era. But the songs remained unreleased outside MySpace. Now "A Place For Friends" is here, dedicated to the ones that burned bright and left us far too soon. treesleeper.bandcamp.com/album/a-place-for-friends

I always hate having to reiterate this, but no one is "too big" at pshq. If someone is being a problem let one of the staff members know at our events. We are there to moderate so that you can have a good time at the event, not feel anxiety and stress about coming to our events.
