If Burnham ends triple lock to fund social care in England, then does that mean Welsh and Scots pensioners are paying for English pensioners to access social care? @welsh-labour.bsky.social @plaidcymru.bsky.social

Scotland is a nation, and we have the right to decide our own future. On Tuesday, I’ll ask MSPs in the Scottish Parliament to back that simple principle. Whatever your view on independence, that should be something we can all agree on.

It is English politics that is riven by emotional division with a worrying tendency towards ethno-nationalism. For three ostensibly nationalist parties to have exposed that irrationality and emerged as the adults in the room is smart politics ✍️Ben Wildsmith wp.me/p8Mk4U-1twG

I hope the BBC do not close BBC Scotland channel down. For anyone like me, who cannot get to Scotland, it is invaluable for seeing Scots culture on our screens. I know it is not perfect by a very long way, but the alternative is television largely from London. 1/n

£14bn has NOT been secured for Welsh rail. Just £445m has been allocated. The rest is a long-term commitment dependent on future UK Spending Reviews. Meanwhile, Westminster has denied Wales £5bn+ owed in HS2 consequentials, by classifying a railway entirely in England as an “England&Wales” project.

Nigel Farage resigns as an MP while under investigation, forcing a by-election rather than facing scrutiny head on. Westminster politics is rotten to the core. A corrupt, failing system built to protect itself, not serve the people of Wales. And Wales is expected to stay tied to it.
