I tried to evoke snakes in her design. Her headlights are positioned where snake nostrils would be, her mouth has the :3 shape a snake's does, her head is flat and sloped, and her tail is thick, and longer than she is tall. Train dragon? Nah. What is a train but a big metal snake, anyway?

I can highly recommend my friend @yana.quest's story, which among other things paints a picture of how confusing euphoria can be when you feel it for the first time. Their New Helvetia setting is wonderful for this in general! It's also just a whole therian mood.

What happens in this story was not my plan when I sat down to write either the last part, or this one; It just kinda happened. I hope it doesn't seem too abrupt, but I can say from experience that it kinda does just hit all at once, and you only figure out how long it was cooking in retrospect.

This is the beauty of a reformation setting to me. Bol is Kothysax's safe haven, his ward, and his snack, depending on the time of day. To be willing to ignore someone's plans and treat them as calories, while still holding them as one of the most important people in your life? What a dynamic!

Kothysax will also, at a rate of nearly once a week, snatch and swallow the small, pink raptor as if they were pastry left unattended on the counter. He feels utterly entitled to treat them as a snack, regardless of their willingness... though Bol never seems to protest!

Though rarely depicted, Kothysax can frequently be found in a foot-long quad form, typically snoozing on, cuddling with, or receiving pets from Bol. He is embarrassed for most to see him like this, but it also brings him great comfort. Around them, he's willing to let down his guard. #bolycule

Bol still IDs predominantly as nonbinary (rather than transfem), but they'll sometimes drift into moods where they appreciate terms like "girl" or "hen". Generally though, they prefer gender neutral forms of address... with "pet" being their favorite!

This is also a good time to formally establish some lore I've hinted at but never mentioned on the page: Bol is on estrogen! They wanted a body slightly on the femme side of androgyny, and so they got one.

And here's a tidier version of the design, without all the annotations. Bol is a very dear character to me (and many of my readers), so I'm glad people can finally see them!

A ref sheet for a pink anthro velociraptor named Bol. Bol is fully feathered save for their hands, feet, and the tip of their snout, and has a slightly hunched-forward posture evocative of theropod dinosaurs. Their feathers are predominantly pink, with shiny purple highlights on the longer feathers of their wing-arms, tailfan, and head crest. Their underbelly is a pale off-white cream. Their skin is dark grey with even darker scutes, and their claws are yellow-gold. They are smiling, showing one snaggle-fang, and their eyes are wide and bright, with blue irises. Their eyes have prominent dark wings, evoking lashes. They are touching the tips of their pointer-claws together meekly. They are wearing dark purple short shorts, and a bright red collar with a small golden tag, which reads "Bol". Their feathers appear very fluffy, especially on the top half of their chest. The ref sheet bears the text "Bol Miller", "they/them velociraptor", and 3'4". Color swatches sit to the right, and three pride flags sit below: nonbinary, trans, and demisexual. After over a week of harder-than-expected work, I'm happy to present Bol - the eponymous character of my [i]Bolycule[/i] series - in the flesh! It was very important to me to accurately depict their key attributes: they had to be fluffy, pink, and cute. Hopefully I managed to capture all three!
