they were (most likely) misremembering either A) demense, or B) the Domesday/Doomsday Book, or C) the purely invented forgotten realms term for a lich's domain (personal retreat, sanctuary) which WAS "doom"

Anyway Maximus was my favorite character and storyline in S1, I'm very nervous given how much more fan attention has gone towards ✨️The Ghoul✨️. But the contrarian in me gets suspicious whenever a show/movie/game etc seems to REALLY want you to like a character AND (crucially) think they're cool

Now I'm in a research pit made out of the necessity of DIYing colonial history resources together. It's taken me from 19th c. western medical history to the Crusades and, back & forth again, to my family's island(s) history in the Visayas. I love it here. but oh my god. omg they dont make it easy.

ONGOING PROJECT; #ROTWIP A few years ago, I started writing a gothic horror novel. I wanted to explore the parasitic nature of colonialism through the POV of a Regency-era heiress of color (and see how far I could go with a Filipina-British protag).
