Global warming really doesn't cover it - the rate and scale of storms, eruptions, quakes and tsunamis, the loss of huge numbers of species of animals, insects, and the biodiversity upon which we depend for everything is not something to be sanguine about, we must do all we can to slow the damage.

Renewables are cheaper and faster to build than any other energy generation method, and cheaper and safer to run. Even if the environmental argument is ignored renewables are still our best most secure option. And the environmental benefit is real and urgent. Stop drilling!
