We're kinda struggling with how every third post is related to the Google drive fanfic uploading situation (not a criticism, just a bad fit for our brain), so we might take a break from reading feeds. Maybe we'll still post our own posts? We'll definitely try to keep up with conversations! - 🌸

blue ghost hualian #tgcf

A digital illustration of hualian disguised as blue ghosts. They are both wearing blue robes and have ghost fires floating above their heads and around them. Hua Cheng is grinning, looking at Xie Lian who is making a "rawr" pose.

i did it!!! [ canonverse tgcf snz fic // hua cheng encounters a ghost-repellent that repels him in a different way 🤭 // rated T // words: ~4100 // UNFINISHED AND DISCONTINUED WIP // from circa~ june 2024 ] www.tumblr.com/cattewife/83... (must have a tumblr account to view)

fic excerpt:

"Hua Cheng is watching as Xie Lian is making breakfast for them (perhaps at an hour much too late for breakfast). In the middle of stirring what Xie Lian is calling "Four Seasons Congee," (it indeed has so many seasonings it perhaps may not commonly be called congee anymore), he stops and puts two fingers to his forehead, quiet and intense as he listens to the communication array. Hua Cheng pouts, instantly sensing that some heavenly official is going to try to steal Xie Lian away. The congee blips and blops threateningly, the fire stirred up too hot when Xie Lian is no longer actively stirring it.

"Gege," Hua Cheng huffs, gratified when this gets Xie Lian's attention from the array immediately. "Tell them to call back after breakfast. You don't have business hours yet."

"It's nearly wǔ shí, San Lang," Xie Lian laughs. "It's hardly an unreasonable hour to call." The congee blups so energetically rice spatters Xie Lian's apron, and he jumps adorably and hurries to stir it again. "
