Final chapters of Second Base are up on Scribble! Let no one say that I abandon projects, I merely put them on hold for a short two or three years!

i'm also trying to decide how i feel about this way of writing and publishing. it was better for me personally, but i'm not certain if it made the writing better. something to evaluate on a reread!

Last part of Second Base is up, as is the full epub (linked here!) i make no promises of editing quick to get it to publishing. it needs an editor to look at it, and i need to go back through as well.

on the topic of advice: do something with your body other than stare at it in the mirror. a sport, walking, painting, whatever. just give it value other than how it looks. it shocked me how much playing a very causal sport changed how i think about my body

My god, @transcect.bsky.social's Second Base (rewrite coming out on Mondays on her Patreon!) is so fucking good. Bottle Blondes is great, but there's something about Second Base that just blows me away. Serious contender for my favorite novel of 2026.

different than the original (certainly not smut, not *exactly* romance), but i hope it doesn't let people down too much!

then, in the fall, more Lady in Waiting! its been tough to write both at the same time tonally so i've switched to Second Base until its done but i have plans and a good backlog from writing in Jan/Feb this year

060

rhiannon @transcect.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

i'm still working out how i want to release things going forward, but the patrons will for sure get it earlier i also must admit that its a much slower burn and less 'sex every page' (sorry!!)

rhiannon @transcect.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

i'm fairly confident that there'll a new version of Second Base out july/august i've just passed the word count of the original; fully rewritten, certainly on more consistant tonal ground and up to my current standards. it helps to know where a story is going when you write lol
