I enjoy bluesky via Feeds rather than other views or Following and @trainshows.net's Model Railroading is well thought out, logic wise, and mostly manages to only include model train stuff. Basically the opposite of doom-scrolling: bsky.app/profile/did:...

Here’s the almost finished T-Trak module. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out and just need to glue a little Optimus Prime truck cab near the spaceship. It will be at Railfair in Boxboro, MA in a week and a half. #TTrak #ModelRailroading #ModelTrains #NScale #Transformers

A T-Trak module showing a mountain with a few pine trees on the left. A spaceship is crashed into the bottom right side of the mountain…which resembles a certain spaceship from a certain 1984 cartoon series. This module is more than meets the eye!

Latest update: Added some rubble around the base, attached the tracks, and then put down some brown “dirt”. (It should dry lighter colored than it appears here after glue was applied.) Next step: a handful of pine trees which I’ve already distressed.

A mountain with a spaceship crashed into the right side and two rows of train tracks in front of it covered by masking tape. Various Lego in the background.

You can use this D&D figure creator, buy the STL file, scale it to HO (or any other scale), and print that…if your printer can handle figures that small. www.heroforge.com I’ve printed G scale and D&D’s 1:65 scale, but my printer’s not good enough for HO scale figures.

Update! Lightened up some areas, detailed the spaceship a bit, painted the entrance to the Autobot base under the ship, painted the remaining exposed wood, and repainted the bottom. Next: fallen rocks, burnt grass, and a few pine trees. Then track! Will be on display at Railfair in Boxboro, MA.

Perhaps just the bottom was a 1996 part and they’ve re-used it for various products with that size base?

I think changing “year” to “month” would be closer to reality for a lot of folks.

Take a break from being depressed that everything you love is being destroyed by slop for a moment and let me tell you about the beautiful symbiotic relationship between graffiti writers, train yard workers, and model train enthusiasts.
