honestly a dumb idea - thats 50 - 60 mil a month from taxes the state will lose. If you want to really help, suspend gas tax on diesel or something to help lower grocery & shipping in the state. Don't suspend it on regular gas. Truckers are getting destroyed

Japans train stations are just next level even the tracks look taken care of and mostly clean. Not saying in the boondocks they're perfect but in cities they're important epicenters for everything. USA needs to start designing this way to help solve housing issues. Transportation is intertwined

we're now very connected to the rest of the world and we have great ideas we can pull from, solutions, technology to make this area the gem of the city. It should be, and it can help lower housing prices. More green space, cut energy costs, create more jobs, its a win win win win in every scenario.

Anyone who lives and uses franklin park can tell you its used primarily by people who don't live there and by a very particular demographic which does not reflect the folks who surround that park. To have 140 acres of land dedicated to a tiny amount of people is not acceptable anymore

#franklinpark was never intended to be a golf course. It was supposed to be a huge chunk of land put aside for the public to use. Its time we take it back. There are 7 other golf courses within a 10 mile radius. We don't need one in the center of Boston.

And how do we improve the lives of people living in that area. Does it mean we build modern homes they can move into, energy efficent, and everything they need within a 10 15 minute walk? a place they can raise kids or grow old in safely? Get to school by bike or walking? It should be & can be!

A place that we re-connect with the city by public transit. Trains, supported by bus lines, this is one of the most beautiful spots in #boston but at the same time there are no high paying jobs here, so the community has to drive everywhere to get to their jobs.

this is crazy. This isn't even a tall building, how in the heck is this going to "effect" the arboretum. I love that place but this has got to be some kinda joke. The current building in this spot is literally 3 stories, did they yell at the nuns living there? This is why boston has no housing.

Truly the only things holding ppl back from biking is protected bike infrastructure and bike parking. Almost no thought given to where a bike can park once it arrives at a destination in the states

Imagine kids being able to take a train to the zoo, to blue hills for hiking or skiing, Franklin Park, all dropped off basically right in front of the destination. It's a good plan and something that use to exist.

The problem is how long would we have to wait. The people along blue hill ave were promised a train many years ago and it makes sense strategically & position wise that it should have a train line that stretches all the way to the blue hills. Reconnect Boston to surrounding areas

This is why I believe major projects should focus on trains with buses in support roles. And while I support upgrading blue Hill Ave to bus lanes it is something that will need upgrading to a train in the future. Buses are not an end game solution but a stepping stone. Train is the true solution.

Just a reminder. When projects are proposed you should send in your ideas 💡 because voices in support of public infrastructure like protected bike lanes, trains, sidewalks, buses r very useful 4 planners. Always loud car voices but they need public infrastructure voices even a small comment is good
