She started with a bit of a photo shoot. Then less than a foot from my head she completed her life mission. It took her nearly 6 hours. #NatureIsAmazing

Today we went to my husband‘s grandma‘s funeral. She would have been 98 years old this month! On my way to the graveside, there was a plethora of fungi. But here’s a couple for #FungiFriday

Happy #FungiFriday y’all! We have had a lot of rain this summer. I heard we broke a record. I stopped my car on the street to capture these.

Slipping in late for #MushroomMonday. My niece found this one in one of her potted plants.

Good morning and happy #WhimseyWednesday I love the Blossom stalk on this succulent! I included a close photo, but does anyone else think that it looks like something from Dr. Seuss? How about you guys? @justagirl52.bsky.social @tanukisrevenge.bsky.social

I basically play a little game with the sign at our salon. It’s always fun to see who gets it.

Guess what y’all? I showed up for #FungiFriday! I know it’s been a while, but sometimes you know how it is. (no filter, in spite of how it looks.)

It’s #MushroomMonday y’all! This falls under the category of shrooms that almost look fake. This is my pic. And I have a decent catalog of real things that don’t necessarily look real.

Happy #FungiFriday y’all! Come on, tell me, who do you see? Think science fiction movie…

Boy, I almost forgot it is #FungiFriday! This is totally an indication that I’m back to work full-time and may be working too hard. 🤣

Good morning and happy #FungiFriday! I haven’t been here for a few days. Went back to work on this new knee. I’m doing it, but I’m exhausted. I have PT this morning before work and then I have to work tomorrow…

Happy #FungiFriday y’all! This giant puff ball was from this same time of year five or six years ago. I wasn’t even in the woods when I saw it. I saw it from afar. I thought it was a ball at first. imagine my surprise.🤩

Y’all, look at this gorgeous fall bouquet I received from a client yesterday! She of course realized that I have been off for six weeks with my knee replacement. And somehow realized that I have a birthday coming. It’s amazing how much I love flowers!

Good morning Blue Sky peeps! Happy #MushroomMonday! This happens to be right in my backyard!

@justagirl52.bsky.social Yesterday I got my knee to a 94° bend on my own. And I got it to a -3 on the straightening part. Only three more points to flat zero! She said I was a bit ahead of the game, so that’s good news . And I got my bandage off. No sutures here -only glue.

I got my new knee. It’s titanium. All I can think about is Lieutenant Dan saying “magic legs” … it was outpatient surgery and right back home about five hours later. And I walked out of the surgery center. Isn’t that amazing?

Well, it’s total knee replacement Tuesday, y’all!

Good morning and happy #WhimsyWednesday! A throw back from a couple years ago of a juvenile hawk that visited my front door.

@justagirl52.bsky.social My friend Angela, who keeps finding all of the birds nest fungus in her mulch, brought me this little container. At first, I thought it was something for breakfast. Then when I took the lid off, I saw. I brought it home and grafted it into my mulch.

Happy #MushroomMonday y’all! It’s raining again here today! We’re getting between two and four rains per week. So rare for July and August! Incidentally, it feels like the Amazon.
