This really isn't that hard to understand. Opposing the actions of a particular government is not a comment on a religion. Opposing Netanyahu's actions is not a comment on his religion. Opposing terrorism by settlers in the west bank against Palestinian families is not a comment on their religion.

Our history department is trying to fight ai use. Problem is our admins, who thinks undergrads shouldn't have to write at all in first and second year courses in any discipline other than english. We are getting NO support in this battle

Over the summer the university remodeled a whole building, merging small classrooms for 35 students with movable desks into large lecture halls capable of housing 60+ students at long tables with fixed seats. This is supposed to improve our teaching.

I just got the most positive book review of my career...of my Under the Greenwood Tree: A Celebration of Kentucky Shakespeare....from the Shakespeare Bulletin. I've felt sort of like an imposter with this book in this field so this sort of made me tear up!!

just submitted the final manuscript of my new book (We had a hammer: the origins of mutual self-help housing in the united states) to UNC Press. Really excited to be working with UNC again. But, this one feels weird. Been working on it soooooo looooong.
