Same, though my experiences were more late 70s. Violence everywhere - at gigs, at parties, on the street. Friends of mine beaten up, police routinely called. And taken more or less for granted!

Yeah, same, I'm of the generation where we phoned home maybe once every couple of weeks? Maybe because of that I've never tracked my kids' locations. I knew it would just have the potential to freak me out more if at some point they weren't where I thought they should be.

Yep we sticker everyone's phone at our Moth gigs and it just transforms things. Everyone fully in the room. You look out at an audience of People, not Screens shining at you. (But I understand why other artists, especially younger ones, don't do this, as it's helpful for fans to post *content*)
