The Cousins was another one I really enjoyed!

She had such a distinct style!

The dichotomy of being a liberal American is wanting to pull your hair out at the shitty political system we live in and how capitalism and greed and conservatives are ruining everyone’s lives while also clinging with fingertips to American traditions like Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow American moots. I hope there’s no bloodshed at your tables outside of the sacrifice of the turkey. Me? I got some stuffing. I’m good.

On today’s episode of things I’ve discovered I bought in the middle of an insomniac night and promptly forgot about once it arrived but am finding as I pack for my move… this brand new Coach satchel bag I never even unboxed.

What do you mean I just got a letter that I won the NYC housing lottery for a second time this year and this one is to get on the waitlist to buy a studio apartment for $11,000???? I’m moving in a month to my rented housing lottery apartment!

I’ve been so focused on the logistics for my move I’ve lost all sense of time. What do you mean Thanksgiving is THIS WEEK!?

Like “I always worried someone would notice me and then when no one did I felt lonely” struck such a chord with me in my mid 20s when I first read it.

The protagonist is annoying as fuck but there are whole passages that stick in my head for the way it nails observations about relationships.

This stays with me. “There are people we treat wrong and later we're prepared to treat other people right. Perhaps this sounds mercenary, but I feel grateful for these trial relationships, and I would like to think it all evens out, surely, unknowingly, I have served as practice for other people.”

I just spent $36 so I could see Wicked in 4D. May as well pretend I’m defying gravity myself while I’m watching it!

It was honestly the most stressful part of this situation. 😭

I did it. I told my landlord I was leaving at the end of December after 24 years of living here and I think he might be in a bit of shell shock since the call lasted about 1.5 minutes and was mostly him just saying okay, okay. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Whew.

The US Cabinet is now just a socialist federal jobs program for low skilled, unqualified workers.

I genuinely could not function without lists. I need to compartmentalize my multitudes.

I’ve got a short sleeve shirt with a cardigan on and a thing bomber jacket on and I’m dying I’m so warm.

Don’t mind me I just go around looking at everyone else’s follow lists trying to find my people. 😭

It’s 45 degrees with no wind why are you dressed in a full down parka with a fur lined hood pulled up and two scarves wrapped around your neck like it’s 20 below zero. Be for real now. Relax.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice In Chains.

I’ve decided to just make it painful all at once instead of in stages so I’m headed back to the furniture store to buy a new mattress on Wednesday. I just keep telling myself I’m investing in my future.
