Happens to the best of us! But yeah lol. It’s Kings first novel!

Oh shit. Already sold out lol. I appreciate you, though!

FWIW: the 2002 NBC miniseries of Carrie did the same thing, and it’s because the book is written in an epistolary format (via news reports, interviews, etc.) so using that narrative structure is actually closer to King’s novel than De Palma’s film.

They did the same thing with Split! It was a secret screening at Fantastic Fest in September 2016 before it opened theatrically in January 2017.

FALL 2 is pretty dumb, and while there are a few fun enough set pieces, it's all kinda boring? Meh. Wish it would have leaned into that stupidity a little bit harder.

As someone who's been an obsessed Resident Evil nerd since the '96 og and platinumed Requiem with a quickness, the first 30 minutes of Zach Cregger's RE nails the core gameplay and progression. He gets it, and I can't wait to see the rest.

Oh yeah. It's kinda-sorta a Biblical allegory of Adam/Eve and Cain/Abel, but Eve is eeeeeeeeeevil.

#EastOfEden was a book I had to read my senior year of high school. I wasn't really looking forward to reading it (it's really long!), but it wound up being one of my favorite books that I read for school. Cannot WAIT to see Florence Pugh's take on Cathy Ames, one of literature's best villainesses.

FALL is fine! I’d like it more if it weren’t 47 METERS DOWN with: • Depths swapped out for heights • Recently ex boyfriend swapped out for recently dead husband • Sharks swapped out for vultures • The bends swapped out for delirium They sure did wanna keep that third act twist, though, huh?

Tonight’s #WeirdWednesday is one of the most delightful Japanese sci-fi films I’ve ever seen: the single-take time loop comedy #BeyondTheInfiniteTwoMinutes!

TCM 2 isn’t my favorite CHAINSAW sequel (that’d be THE NEXT GENERATION), but second place ain’t bad!

I wasn't as high on INFLUENCER as some of my peers (see: @joelipsett.bsky.social), but boy oh boy did I have a blast with INFLUENCERS! What a step up of a sequel. Bring on the third entry (INFLUENCED?)!

I felt a bit on the outside looking in after my initial viewing of #ISawTheTVGlow, but this conversation with @thearidrew.bsky.social and @realrobynadams.bsky.social really helped put things into perspective for me. Such a rich, dense film!

Just beat it over the weekend! Had a blast with it. Was kinda shocked at how little emphasis there was on gunfights, but I’m not made about it. Felt pretty cool to be a spy!

Whenever someone tells me they don’t like Rob Zombie movies I always tell them to watch Lords of Salem because it’s the least “Rob Zombie” movie that Rob Zombie has made. A remarkably restrained (and very good!) film.

The much-hated Pennywise dance from It (2017) is one of my favorite moments in that movie, so I’m really glad Welcome to Derry had the audacity to say “fuck the haters” and have him do it again.

It’s a real shame that #MastersOfTheUniverse is going to wind up being a flop because I would gladly take another one. What a fun, colorful throwback of a good time. That “Eternia” theme is an absolute banger.

#TheCableGuy is far from my favorite '90s Jim Carrey movie (that'd be #TheMask), but I can certainly appreciate the attempt to do something a little bit darker and weirder than his usual schtick.
