After 9/11, a handful of filmmakers from around the world had 11 minutes to recognize the day in a short film. The one American filmmaker, Sean Penn’s choices were/are (to me) fascinating, including the pacing. Ernest Borgnine is perfect. There are so many ways to use 11 minutes… I watch every year.
