I have compared the parts of 23/24 and 24/25 that happened in 2024. Only 5 teams averaging more points per games this season, compared to the end of last season. The 3 largest increases were the teams with the lowest PPG at the back end of last season. #EFL | #Championship

Wednesday finish the calendar year with 10 away wins, only bettered by Leeds (11). Wednesday also finish the calendar year with 10 away losses. The joint 6th worst. Wednesday conceded 39 away goals this calendar year. Only Watford (41), Cardiff (43), Plymouth (47) worse. #swfc

A few key metrics that are showing up this season in the Championship: Only two teams in the bottom 12 averaging more than 50% possession. Only one team with a long pass % below 10% in the bottom 12. High % of entries into the box via runs indicates a high performing team.

Crazy stat alert! Between 9 April 2013 and 4th October 2024, Sheffield Wednesday only won 3 away games after conceding first in the Championship. Equalled that in 5 games this season. #swfc

#swfc has now won THREE away games after conceding first (9 games). That's the same as the best three (Hull, Leeds, Cardiff) had last season ALL season (23 games). Only ones better since 2019: 5 Boro 22-23 4 QPR 21-22 4 Cardiff 21-22 4 Boro 20-21 4 WBA 19-20 (soccerstats.com) (cc @ntt20.com )

Since the start of December 2023, and of the 18 teams that were in the Championship last season, only Middlesbrough (11) have won more away games than Wednesday’s (10). Only Boro (37) and Leeds (36) have won more away points than Wednesday’s (31). #swfc

Sheffield Wednesday have used 22 players in the league this season. Only Swansea and Preston (21) have used less. However Wednesday have made the most subs in the league (74). Keeping players fresh could be imperative, especially in the second half of the season. #swfc
