Tohle je vlastně ukázka toho, jak moc jsme přistoupili na hru těch automobilek a vůbec na motonormativní myšlení. Ta auta se dají v první řadě zregulovat zcela přímo. Tak, jako jsou požadovány všechny ostatní bezpečnostní prvky a vlastnosti, tak není nijak složité předepsat třeba max. výšku haubny.

Tohle je děsivé ze tří důvodů: samo o sobě, v tom, že automobilky tahle auta tlačí ze všech sil (a lidé jim to žerou) a že se ani nediskutuje možnost tato auta regulovat tak, aby se těm zbytečným úmrtím předešlo. Tohle není "nehoda", tohle je vědomá nedbalost a selhání na mnoha úrovních.

P+R kolem metra je podpora aut a suburbanizace, ne hromadné dopravy. Ovšem z rozpočtu na hromadnou dopravu je celá ta věc placená. Většinou na úkor příměstských autobusů, které jsou tak zasažené dvakrát - ztrátou cestujících i ztrátou prostředků.

Přitom některé úspory by nemusely příliš bolet a jejich realizace by byla možná v řádu dnů. Příkladem může být omezení maximální rychlosti na dálnicích, které výrazně snižuje spotřebu. Jiné by byly náročnější, jako dostat kamiony na železnici, ale také by fungovaly.

Ano i ne. Ono se díky tomu, že se dlouho ukazuje, že "jinde to jde", nakonec povedlo pár věcí, které byly v devadesátkách nemyslitelné. Takže možná ta rezignace kvůli tomu, že "v Praze máme blbé magistráty" je horší, než i dneska naivní snaha propagovat rozumnější přístup.

Průšvih, o kterém víme už zhruba půl roku. Svět měl rezervy na zmírnění jeho dopadů. Půl roku se dalo něco dělat. Jediné, co se u nás stalo, bylo ujištění pro řidiče, že to za ně stát vyžehlí a nemusí se nijak omezovat. Pro snížení spotřeby se neudělalo nic ani symbolicky.
