tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 03/10/2026hey, i do have a thing for the thing, for once / from the giant folder of what ifs: the dredd episode i was going to draw (a long time ago) got sabotaged (along with everything else) by health issues, but here's a drawing i did back then 513525
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 03/10/2026a few from today's short walk -- you won't be surprised to hear that i prefer bleak weather, but the pixar grade toronto weather that starts towards the end of september does get pretty silly #fotozozo 0260
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 30/09/2026first ipad i bought in early 2016: still works fine, pencil sometimes doesn't charge latest, top of the line ipad that i got at the end of June to handle current work files easier: kicked the bucket after..... two and a half months. (bereft of life) (joined the choir invisible) (hashtag progress) 1200
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 27/09/2026garbage days continue, but a bit more time on foot again this week at least (not to generalize or alarm anybody, but i'm beginning to suspect this year sucks) #fotozozo 0211
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 24/09/2026(i was there to get these) (not giant issues, for some unknown reason-- i was expecting at least 11x17) 011
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 23/09/2026hey, made it to the comics store (in 1996) (probably not the best use of a time machine) 3310
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 20/09/2026sunday plan, anyway, remains: pictures. since I can't share current work, here's a few pages out of a (guest) flashback sequence from last year* hallways and comics don't mix, so it took some doing to boil down what would be a stock "filing down hallway, dipping in and out of doors" scene in a movie 69716
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 19/09/2026even on a budget of less than nothing these are still some of the best-looking movies ever made. in the gospel according to st. matthew, he's often working with nothing but flat plain and a cloud, and it still feels bigger than all three dune movies put together 1200
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 19/09/2026they say protein for breakfast so throwing a dart at some Pasolini pictures (these are all from the same one; almost a distressing amount of great composition and photography) 1220
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 19/09/2026old times new times / out at night #fotozozo (zero chance this survives the bsky compression, i really need to set up a site for these) 0210
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 18/09/2026i don't think i have ever seen this layer mode and not thought of one of the funniest lines in barton fink 0100
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 17/09/2026thursday plan: eight things (that seems like a reasonable number) 833386
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 12/09/2026me: i'm used to tinkering with digital things, but surely i'm not qualified nor equipped to fix anything in the physical world physical world: it's just two big springs 1212
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 12/09/2026i can understand the dum dum appeal of "mostly wrong, but very short" ai search results, but who could possibly want the anythingyousearchedforcomparison dot com websites with a table of contents and endless paragraphs of text, where the main goal is wasting as much of your time as possible 160
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 12/09/2026whenever i try using my other account it gets even more heavy handed, come to think of it 110
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 12/09/2026who knows how long it'll last but it sure has been nice to be able to get back to the only genuinely relaxing thing i ever did 0100
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 12/09/2026are three walks in the same week even allowed? but can tell i'm feeling a bit better at the moment even more by the number of cameras that i take with me (two), including my 4 kg oversized clown cameras, and considering taking a tripod along next time-- 291
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 11/09/2026of all the heavy handed metaphor buttons i have to press daily, this one still wins in terms of sheer existentialism 3570
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 07/09/2026on the way to another waiting room / one in old times mode #fotozozo 0180
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 03/09/2026i don't have any pictures of my family, but i did finally frame this screencap of Anno 1305
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 02/09/2026a minute outside, on foot / some of these made me really miss using the fuji 400h film on a 6x9 camera, i'm assuming by now that stuff comes to $40 per picture #fotozozo 0100
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 02/09/2026managed a walk today so i took... 552 pictures. i think bluesky now allows posting all of them at once in the carousel thingie? 080
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 01/09/2026sorry, the way i phrased it made it sound like i don't like the balloons going into the panel border- that's more than fine! i was thinking of how it's impossible (for me, even after 40 years of reading comics), to not go from "(...) dans quelque catastrophe." to "avez-vous vu Ruthy?" below 130
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 01/09/2026i may have phrased it ambiguously in the original post, the last image there was Blain-- here's throwing a dart at a random Moebius book: 100
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 01/09/2026i would really like to see the (single digit) number of how many people in the entire world have clicked on any of those gradient purple-to-pink buttons in all apps put together, and how many clicked it twice (on purpose). they must have at least a billion times worse click-through rates than these 130
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 01/09/2026messaging app family is using has decided to bake in ai features, so now there's an option to "remix" photos (of laundry detergents i get sent to buy), and a button to "polish message" after every single text ("we're almost out of laundry detergent"), despite nobody in the household speaking polish 1190
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 31/08/2026bluesky still seems to show replies in a thread in a way that's baffling to me, making it look like i'm randomly having unprompted extended musings. anyhow, back to pictures 0140
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 31/08/2026i would easily spend half a day doing whatever i possibly could to avoid abutting these balloons, which is probably the only reason why my output is slightly smaller than Blutch's or Blain's (this is still nothing compared to lettering placement crimes moebius would do, so my theory must be true) 3320
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 28/08/2026finding a copy of this for $14 (canadian) already felt like a wild stroke of luck, and then it arrived with this sticker on the front 1200
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 27/08/2026one more for my less helpful, bandage-colored series / SLK #013 (of 1000) 944998
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 23/08/2026photographic lighting and perspective is one way to make things look "realistic"; specificity is another (usually far more interesting way), and few people ever drew more specific stuff in a comic than Franquin. not a single "vague shoe shape" here 3425
tonči zonjić @tozo.today · 04/08/2026it turned out yesterday was a holiday so i extended this to 73 hours, but it barely made a dent. on to tuesday plan (pictures) 0130
