Slashers! It's like visiting old friends and watching them get butchered by the inevitable ends of life, just literally instead of metaphorically

I am not the type to collect lunchboxes, but I am sometimes tempted

Crazy amazing lunchbox of something called Korg, which reminds me of Yor or that other Raquel Welch movie

This crazy robot was $800 in the box. (From the Shop the Curiosity Toy Show yesterday)

Technically not a bootleg or KO, just crazy transformation mechanical entities!
(Unless it was KOing something I'm not aware of, LMK)

There was some crazy stuff for sale at Zolocon this past weekend

Double Face Fighters! Learned about this in a junk box a few years ago, maybe the first time I have seen a carded one

JAWS patch to fix your jeans? I need a hundred of em!

The MEGO Trek aliens are always tempting, even though I have no connection to Trek in 2026. Once rare, always rare, in the brain until the end of time

It was an #atari2600 weekend with the cold being in single digits. While I didn't achieve PATCH SCORE on Circus Convoy (those damn unicycles) or Casey's Gold (this game is tough on a Nintendo level), had fun with Star Trek and Scramble! Among others

Score on one run of classic Atari 2600 Star Trek - I can do better, didn't check the A/B switches first

Scramble on Atari 2600! I love that companies and fans, in some cases, are continuing to translate classic arcade games into the 2600 style

I forgot to mention it, but the fact that someone is finally doing something with C.H.U.D. is beyond exciting. One of my all-time favorite designs! Hopefully this leads to a figure from them - or two!

These Toxic Avenger comics are pretty good! Licensed books have such a wide variety of quality that I had about zero expectations when this was announced, but the creative teams have really thought about the Toxie lore when putting these together, while retaining the "Tromaness" of things

I think my GROUNDHOG DAY remake would be pretty boring to a lot of people Every day, a tray of parts appears and you must identify them But maybe not so boring to those who will look at the pic and be taken to a memory of one of those pieces immediately

It's been DVD and VHS sorting week. Growing up with mom and pop video stores, my brain separates into non-standard categories like thriller and erotic thriller. But it's fun to think about what overall categorization is per movie - is E.T. drama? Family? Sci-fi? Martial arts?

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

I knew it wasn't 29 - but YouTube clarified channel 17 I definitely watched it and bought some of the toys (mainly the playsets). But it slipped by quite a few people - the guy I work for had never heard of it and he owns a toy store, which shows you how many loose collections of them come in

A screenshot showing WMAC Masters was on Channel 17 in Philly

Mysterious silver piece! Is it Turtles? Jurassic Park? Some other weird line? If you know weigh in!

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 23/11/2025

What I'm Watching PREDATOR:BADLANDS(2025) 7221 Liked this one a lot in terms of plot, designs, acting,& world building. It's cool to be in a place where a studio isn't afraid to have subtitles on 90% of a movie. However, my oldness has trouble processing this level of CGI-like a cartoon at times

140

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 23/11/2025

What I'm Watching ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (2011) 7220 Roku has these channels which function like old cable, so when there's no specific mission to watch something, can take a chance with what's currently playing. Well, this one is just awful. Cheap looking, ugly color timing, stupid characters.

010

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 23/11/2025

What I'm Watching GOOD BOY(2025) 7219 Almost a found footage movie in structure if not execution, I found this one interesting. There's a lot of mood here that the script doesn't live up to. Still worth a watch

130

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 23/11/2025

What I'm Rewatching INNOCENT BLOOD (1992) There's a subset of media I revisit infrequently, usually when reminded of it via documentary or magazine article,etc-basically things I didn't like upon first(or 2nd+) experience. This movie just doesn't work. It's not funny,or scary,or action packed. Yet

130

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 20/11/2025

Yet more toy mystery! They were in MOTU totes, but not matching any Masterverse, Classics or vintage I can find I feel like the raised pieces mid-staff are a clue but I can't figure it out

Two white-ish staff items with the universally accepted size comparison figure, Transformers Wheelie

What I'm Watching FRANKIE FREAKO(2024) 7218 What a pleasant surprise. Expected one movie from the trailer, was thrown off until one particular scene, then along for the ride until the end. Won't work for everyone but quite enjoyable for those who get it. (synth music) (shabbadoo)

What I'm Watching CHILLER S1E1 (1995) 7217 Took a little bit for this one to get going, but I enjoyed it. On TUBI. Bonus points for Kate from COUPLING making a brief appearance

011

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

What I'm Watching SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES(1983) 7216 I was familiar with the EC Comics adaption of the short story that was the basis of this one, so I was curious how they'd expand it. There's a lot to like here- it's got mood that...ominous? Something about childhood and growing up. It..

152

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

What I'm Watching THE WILD LIFE (1984) 7215 I was the wrong age for movies like this when originally released, so it's interesting to view the artifacts of previous generations. The 'Nam obsessed kid feels like maybe he'd be murdering people in the modern day version of this

121

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

What I'm Watching IN SEARCH OF TOMORROW (2022) 7214 These are always fun. I'm less interested in sci-fi than horror so this one did less for me than the horror ones, but still pretty entertaining. Now on TUBI! along with the first IN SEARCH OF DARKNESS

Poster for the documentary In Search of Tomorrow

041

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

What I'm Watching THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1957) 7213 I have to be in the mood to watch these due to the pace, but I checked this out last month. Pretty good! Just slower paced

I recalibrated all my expectations based on this one card, which I of course pulled from the first pack I bought a week before the movie came out. The universe shows you things in the order it wants you to see things.

Why buy the trading cards before a movie comes out? Because you are excited! But naturally, end of movie, first card seen

The journey into the past of my own collecting continues to bring interesting fruit. It is difficult to describe to a modern collector who didn't live through this the feelings around this wave. Shown - won't be released - oops, we made them for non-US - $$$- no one cares now. A different time

What I'm Watching HOSTILE DIMENSIONS (2023) 7212 I enjoyed this one a lot from a low-budget POV. If you found a doorway which went to another dimension, what would you do with it?

041

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

What I'm Watching THE HOUSE ON EDEN 7211 Yeah, no. Yet more horror where it's a haunted house, etc. no more!!!

031

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

What I'm Watching A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE (2025) 7210 I find this type of movie stressful. "Here's what it would be like in an atomic attack!" No thanks.

021

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 02/11/2025

What I'm Watching THE ELIXIR (2025) 7209 It is great that filmmakers around the world are making horror films I greatly dislike fast zombies

020

John Doctor Kent @toyfinity.bsky.social · 02/11/2025

What I'm Watching THE DEN (2013) 7208 I am very done with movies about snuff films/videos/torturing
