Illustration of Estinien and Vrtra inspired by and based on the trailer animation for FFXIV's Endwalker expansion. An elezen man with dark blue dragoon armor, a large spear pointed forward, and white hair, standing prepared to battle next to a great dragon with his mouth open, fire building in his gullet

Fanart of Messmer from Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. A man with red hair and long limbs in a helmet and red cape/shawl with his hand extended and his other holding his spear behind him as a winged snake that is part of his body snaps out towards the screen

The Ancients Emet-Selch, Venat and Hythlodaeus from FFXIV's Endwalker in battle poses. A man with a dour face and white hair holding a great sword, a woman with white hair and a determined face holding a staff and a man with soft pink/purple hair drawing a bow.

Fanart of Krile inspired by the animated trailer from FFXIV's Dawntrail. A small lalafell in a yellow cat eared coat, with a big smile, brandishing her Pictomancer brush and palette, mid painting magic

I've been on a bit of a social media hiatus, but I've written a new post about something that's been on my mind a lot lately localghost.dev/blog/stop-ge...

Stop generating, start thinking - localghost

Instead of wanting to learn and improve as humans, and build better software, we’ve outsourced our mistakes to an unthinking algorithm.

One of the best parts of Doodl is seeing how differently people interpret the same prompt! One idea, so many unique drawings! It’s a reminder that creativity isn’t about doing it “right” — it’s about showing up and making something. Join the daily drawing ritual 🎨
👉 doodl.app/join-the-beta #art

And, of course, the fact that Duke canonically hates Nazi sympathizers, racists, gay-bashers, and other riffraff.

Usenet is also a back alley for all kinds of riffraff looking for an inexpensive way to share their brain disease with the world. Partly ’cuz Usenet has a long pro-free speech history, partly ’cuz it’s cheap to use and hard to track, Usenet newsgroups have become
one of the favorite comm devices for Nazi sympathizers, racists, gay bashers, anarchists, terrorist advocates, druggies, and black marketeers.

Some of these nut jobs start their own newsgroups and fill ’em up with goof-ball propaganda. These newsgroups are often more of an outlet for insanity than anything else. The guys I'd really like to see drop-kicked over Der Fuehrer’s grave are the ones who bust into any damn newsgroup they want and start screaming their crap out in all-capital letters. These thugs are lucky ’I'm busy taking down alien goon squads.

This was fun (ㆁωㆁ)

Three cats, drawn with my eyes closed. The bottom one is laying on its side and has no face drawn. The top right is sitting up, kind of in a bunny pose, with a face that is barely on its head. The one in the middle is loafing, has a face kind of on its head, and a tail that isn't really attached to its body.

List of fresh patches that "Computer Gaming World" magazine added to their monthly articles starting in 1993. Use for reference whenever someone says that back in the day games never needed to be patched.

This looks great, and I'm trying to sign up, but it won't let me move past the username page. I'm at 8 characters, all lowercase letters, but when I press the next arrow it just shakes...

Your enemies are counting on you to lose hope. Despair is one of their greatest weapons, for it leads you to stop fighting for yourself. Hold on to hope, no matter how hard it is, and refuse to join your enemy in bringing you down.

I'm afraid of water and I'm not interested in cars, and yet, The Beach Boys made some of my favorite music. Do I want to sing along about surfing and cars? Yes. Do I want to be involved in these things? Absolutely not.

This calendar is so beautiful 😍 I especially love that the grid isn't just some boring straight lines & normal font, it's such an important detail for a calendar and it seems to be overlooked a lot.

Use the cute one! If you're always too afraid of using it, it may never get used and then it would be sad??? 🥺 Let things be used for their intended purposes. Plus: using it means you get to get *more* cute ones 😉

I can't believe I'm just seeing this post now 😅 I love your recipe cards, and I like theming the design to the recipe (desserts go on cupcake kitties). Is there any chance for a beverage theme in the future, like milkshakes/smoothies?

Your tape design is super cute 🥺 As a consumer of art, I *love* it when artists I buy from have these nice little touches to their packaging.

Since taking this picture I've put the dust jacket in a plastic sleeve like a library book, and taped it on with washi tape. I like my books to stay looking nice ☺️

The instructions were super easy to follow and the yarn is super smooth and easy to work with! Working the heel and toe were much easier than I ever expected. I'm excited to make more socks!

Just finished knitting my first sock 😍 I used Premier Fruits yarn and Warwick Mum's Sockalong instructions. I watched a LOT of Star Trek while making this... Now I need to make it a friend 😂

I watched 101 Dalmatians (1961) for the umpteenth time yesterday. I really love everything about the animation, but especially the background coloring style and how, on modern screens, I can see stray lines from the line art. It's such a charming movie and I will treasure it forever.

You don’t love Studio Ghibli.
Even further, you fundamentally do not understand or respect Miyazaki and his art.”
