Eh? There's tons of adult dogs around, I've never needed to adopt a puppy, where are you looking?

Lost the last one 6 years ago to PTSD, easily the greatest and nicest person I've ever known, and one on my best friends

001

Torwin @torwin.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

It's the only time Nato got activated, and several of my (Canadian) friends got sent to the sandbox to get revenge for the US, I've lost all of them to either firefights or PTSD more recently.

I've broken both legs, a wrist and now a shoulder in my lifetime, I think the difference is it's a joint this time and can't be cast.

Torwin @torwin.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Historically, when I get knocked down, I can get back up again, but I've had alot of hard knocks this time. I'm trying but the pain is intense and it's taking forever to heal.

Just heard on the news, the fighter pilots on 9/11 were scrambled so fast there wasn't time to load munitions. If they encountered another rogue plane they had orders to crash themselves into it and bring it down. Could you imagine? Damn

How about instead of referring to 4-legged critters as "feral" or "quadruped," we call them "4x4"

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.

Writer. Philanthropist. Businesswoman. Kindest around. Her Imagination Library has gifted over 300 million books, and that number grows by 2 million every month! The first book she started with? The Little Engine that Could. She will forever amaze me. RIP Dolly Parton #dollyparton

My arm currently, it's sore as hell, and the orthopedic surgeon says not to lift it above my waist, as a bit of my shoulder bone broke, they got it back in place, but lifting that limb too high could cause it to dislocate again. Things like showering are tricky currently, lol

I hit the floor hard and got pretty busted up, I really appreciate first responders, the medical staff at hospitals, you guys are great <3

So, I collapsed in a store the other day, heat really messes with me, but because I was so close to the hospital a commander showed up with the ambo. I was barely conscious but just remembered she checked me over and said "his shoulder is completely dislocated, be careful" I hope I thank her one day

But those few seconds when you see it's a vet calling and realizing I couldn't see him, damn, my heart He was out back sniffing around thankfully.

Torwin @torwin.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Receiving a call from a vet I'm not familiar with is terrifying, I thought our dog got out and something had happened to him. In reality the vet just called the wrong number with our roommates dogs test results, apparently I was set up as an emergency contact years ago and they just screwed up.
