A really lovely and touching review of my book. 💚🌳

Today is Endangered Species Day. An ideal day to pause and share a thoughtful poem -perhaps: The Pangolin or The Flight of The Last Bee or Plunder the Ocean or To the Hedgehog in my Garden or The Annual General Meeting of Wildlife Representatives (& dozens more) 💚

Enclosed the veggie patch today to give us somewhere to contain the tortoise when we don't fancy having our toes bitten. He escaped within 5 minutes by climbing the rhubarb. 🙄🐢

Unbelievably excited that my first book is charting at 6 in the humorous kids poetry category (amazon). If anyone would like to buy a copy to help propel me to number 1, I would be so grateful. 🥰

Love seeing what the kids get up to on the days we aren't out and about during hols. Look at this setup! I can't think of a narrative to tie it all together. They clearly have one. Play is bloody marvellous!

@michaelrosenyes.bsky.social the guinea pigs are very much invested in how your nightmare poem resolves!

Anyone else find log stacking really satisfying? Nice brain break from work too 👌

I loved this as a kid. Seeing it transports me straight back to early 90s. I can feel the way it slotted into its case and hear the buttons clicking. I wonder how many of these are hiding in boxes in people's attics. I'm pretty sure I have this to thank for a half decent level of mental maths!

What could be better for the soul than leaf throwing with a 3 year old? 🥰

Absolutely, completely and utterly fantastic!! Saw this on tour and I was 100% engaged within seconds. Quickest and most enthusiastic standing ovation I've known too. Go see it!!

We loved this today. 2 tired and grumpy 41 year olds with a 7 and a 3 year old. We all laughed a great deal and welled up lots too. Best family film in a long time.

Jellybean and her sister have just learnt to be very (very) vocal when the guinea pig nuggets bag is picked up. They are settling in really well. What gorgeous pets they make for kids! The tortoise is jealous however!

Freddie Flintoff's field of dreams has so far been the best 2 hours of TV I have watched in 2024. I am absolutely rooting for these young men - in their lives as much as in their cricket. I cannot imagine anyone not being moved by this show. Watch it!!!

Recommendation for tutors.. this has been a really useful game- particularly for some of my students with dyslexia. It is all about matching phonemes (as we play it) - there are trick cards which we change the rules to and it's also great for laying out for skimming/scanning challenges.

Recent project- gathered flowers from son's forest school and created keyrings for his peers (and some earrings for the leader too!). Added some tiny clay shrooms and sparkle to some for a bit fairy magic!
