It’s been a lot of that for me especially with former coworkers. I’ve been told I’m almost completely unrecognizable physically, but when people talk to me they get familiar vibes, and eventually I have to show them an old photo for them to remember.

Oh, I get it. My family lived off frozen stuff for a long time while we were dealing with a lot of medical stuff when I was a kid. It’s crazy how the things that used to be inexpensive and at least okay seem to be worse and pricier now though. Although it has broken me of my fast food addiction.

Honestly, that’s both sad and believable. I did a series of commissions where I had the artist build my character into real world places that I exist in, and they got so much less love online than just like line art of my character in close up. But your compositions are beauitful!

I handed my mom my phone to show her a picture of my dog. She swiped without me noticing and hands me back a photo of a bruise someone *ahem* left on me, and asks me what happened. Teaching a 75 year old that you under no circumstances are allowed to scroll through an adult woman’s photos is… ugh.

There’s also something really disarming and safe feeling about the fact that the purr doesn’t lie, and you know it isn’t performative, unlike so much human interaction. You know that if you hear that purr, that’s a happy kitty, and you’ve made it happy.

Your music was beautiful and an incredible emotional catharsis for my first Anthrocon after a really hard year of transitioning and becoming comfortable with who and what I am. “Cringe” is used by people who are too scared of their own feelings to admit that they wish they could be that free.
