Mike Rogers is flailing. Yesterday he had a video of him drinking Canadian beer and condemning the tariffs he used to support. Now he is spewing bullshit that he knows is bullshit because he is lacking any moral core and will tell any lie or take any position he thinks benefits him. Reprehensible!

Hegseth and Trump put me in mind of 1950’s kids playing soldier. They both love the bombast and role playing. Trump’s constant use of the term locked and loaded makes my skin crawl. I wonder if he even knows what it means. Public executions sound “good” to them without any reflection at all.

Best butter tarts, other than my late mother’s, were the Hot Oven Bakery in Cloverdale Mall in Toronto. They used to have a big chunk of their display just for butter tarts. Mall is gone. There are supposed successors to the bakery in west end but they don’t make a big deal about their butter tarts

I must echo our Norwegian friend. Here wait time are an issue. However urgency informs priority. I am dealing with a number of issues and when I have had urgent matters to deal with wait times have been a non issue i.e. on more than one occasion within 48 hours. Not the norm but it happens. 2/

What has amazed me during the Trump years is how rare courage is. I would not have expected universal heroism but the ubiquity of the willingness to roll over is stunning. Big Law, academia, mainstream media, the GOP- it goes on and on. Very depressing. Fear of losing money and status trumps all.

American food standards left a lot to be desired before Trump. With his wholesale watering down of regulations I am more leery about their food. GMOs, food dyes, chlorinated chickens, antibiotics up the yin yang and on and on. I have no hesitation with European standards but American, no way.
