Just finished reading "Hollywood, Ending" and it was really good. My only complaint is the last section felt a little rushed. I would have loved to sit with the characters in that stage a while longer. But it's a lovely, moving book. Y'all should read it.

So, when the DND group fell apart, my brain was like "These are your DND friends, you can only see them for DND" so I didn't really see them. They kept inviting me out to things and I finally went to a board game night with them and it was so much fun to see them.

Kind of, but also not? Things are so messed up I am happy for the stability. The pay is fine, the benefits are good. I get to work from home and the people I interact with directly are all fine people.

The best part is knowing that when I do my job well I'm contributing to having Canadian's hard earned dollars funnelled to line the pockets of American executives. I love that they then take that money, and use it to fund Super PACs that help politicians that hate me because I'm queer and Canadian

I don't really have any conservatives in my family. Centre to left across all aunts and uncles. It makes for peaceful gatherings but I'm also really not used to conflicts and suck at defending my position and I think this dynamic contributed to it.

I can't believe it's been seven years. It feels like so much longer than that but also like no time at all. I don't know how much time I'll get to spend with her but I know whatever it is it won't be nearly enough.

I don't think I'd be here like this if it wasn't for her. I've been a furry for as long as I've had the internet and before we started dating it was something I only enjoyed in public. She encouraged me to become more involved in the community, get out there and meet people.

It's cheesy, but I'm the best version of myself because of her. She brings out the best in me. I used to be a guy who talked about doing things, she made me into someone who does those things. She made me realize I'm worth the time and effort.

We've both had challenges with our mental and physical health. We've both struggled, but we struggled together. And we got better together.

Seven years ago I got married. It was a lovely outdoor ceremony, with delicious barbecue. The weather was perfect, and it was one of the best days of my life. Since then, there was the pandemic. We moved out of the city, bought a house. Together we've had our ups and downs.

I just spent the entire day either reading in the hammock or reading by the campfire. Barely looked at my phone and even then it was just to check for rain. Feels so good to have unplugged. I don't know what I'd do without provincial parks.
