strategy, both feel equally consequential, so each costing an energy feels perfect in the last few floors there's basically never a safe place to stand, initially I found this overbearing but it forced me to reevaluate confusion cards, which added a nice line of strategy no obvious design flaws imo!

I realized after sending that I didn't give much actual design feedback (though i tend not to since there's not much rigid rights or wrongs here) current prototype feels well balanced, if anything on the difficult side (which I prefer over being too easy) swapping+moving is a very fun foundation to

more cards and archetypes of course would be ideal, i don't see myself finding additional interesting interactions with the current set of cards, but this is a great foundation!

this is awesome! really cool concept, i love when deck builders utilize physical arrangement like this. i played 4 runs, got to floor 7 on my first run then won on my last with a really fun rubble build. my quick notes:
- more obvious indicator for unstepped cards (maybe an added outline would be nice, didnt notice the corner until a couple floors in. or, highlight unstepped cards when hovering the countdown icon)
- "the exit" keeps status effects from the card it replaced (e.g. "dirty"), only shows when hovering
- incoming damage being called just "damage" conflicts with the "damage" that affects enemies (e.g. sniper nest has "damage 1" and "haven 1", where haven says: "damage is reduced by this much while you're on this card". initial reading of this implies to me that the card deals no damage to enemies when you walk on it)
- maybe an indicator on the current card after selecting a card to swap, to show that you cant swap onto your current card. this also applies to the exit
- planning for reaching the exit is fun
- better multiplay indicator on affected cards (took until i targeted an exit card to notice the (x2))
- it would be fun if destroying or multiplaying the exit did something interesting

this is great!! i love the art :) the larger shapes of the fish make it fun to shuffle them around to the right spot, with the generous swapping rules. increasing the drop rate over time would make this even better!

this is fantastic! incredible depth for such a simple (and compact!) concept. really enjoy the rising audio, adds a lot of tension! best is 1446 :)

+1 for a high score API. would open up a nice feature for a lot of people who otherwise would need to learn how to set up a webserver, etc.

it's so surprising to me. maybe the most eye-opening part of this whole ordeal is finding out how many of my peers don't actually enjoy doing the thing they do

very much so, yes! optimal strat as i know it is to bounce off the ceiling then back up between the shortest distance that triggers the tongue to spawn, a couple times

fantastic!!! ive been excited for this ever since i saw your teaser clips, and it did not disappoint! at first i found the eager re-generating to be a bit frustrating, but after playing several runs i came back around to liking it. very fun!! we'll see how long this time stands haha

i think that would be cool :) I don't have any good numbers on how often people use e.g. the Steam soundtrack player, but people still buy the Windowkill soundtrack there fairly often!

you can use matrix multiplication to derive this answer, but to convert a point from A (upper image) to B (lower image): ((x+y)/2, (-x+y)/2) demo: www.desmos.com/calculator/r...

really good. lovely puzzles, really fun progression. i love the final reward, i wish more games offered this sort of thing conceptually once you've seen everything

i had to re-read this several times to understand, are you correcting the "of" in "free of the curse"? if so that's totally fine grammar imo!

aaah this is fantastic!! i really love how the combination of bullets for points and shooting one at a time makes for a really delicate risk/reward for the player, making you want to stay in the center of danger as long as you can last. the subtle nudging adds a lot to the difficulty. best is 1642

really good, this might be the hardest to control i've played yet. it really emphasizes the self-guided risk/reward. best so far is 109

yes!! it gets so tense near the white square, especially because its movements are so unpredictable. i find myself making so many exclamatory noises while dancing haha

your brain is so beautiful. figuring this one out was so enjoyable, i feel like ive never interacted with a game like this before, in terms of mobility. really difficult, but the flow state is so fun. really nice music too my best is this much

exactly how i feel. i hate how much of my energy is spent scrutinizing everything i see now

occasionally! i tend to just run through gaps more often than not but when things start bunching up around me the focus helps

yeah true, it's very interesting!

ough this is so good. and really hard, it's like i'm constantly running a collision solver in my head. i love the dynamic colors and sounds. really neat subtle mechanics, like having a bit of control over where orbs spawn. best is 71

assuming you're using windows, aseprite (or similar), and that by "go wrong" you mean overwriting what you copied to the clipboard, the win+v clipboard stores a history of copied bitmaps which would let you retrieve it (once you enable clipboard history)
