more cards and archetypes of course would be ideal, i don't see myself finding additional interesting interactions with the current set of cards, but this is a great foundation!

this is awesome! really cool concept, i love when deck builders utilize physical arrangement like this. i played 4 runs, got to floor 7 on my first run then won on my last with a really fun rubble build. my quick notes:
- more obvious indicator for unstepped cards (maybe an added outline would be nice, didnt notice the corner until a couple floors in. or, highlight unstepped cards when hovering the countdown icon)
- "the exit" keeps status effects from the card it replaced (e.g. "dirty"), only shows when hovering
- incoming damage being called just "damage" conflicts with the "damage" that affects enemies (e.g. sniper nest has "damage 1" and "haven 1", where haven says: "damage is reduced by this much while you're on this card". initial reading of this implies to me that the card deals no damage to enemies when you walk on it)
- maybe an indicator on the current card after selecting a card to swap, to show that you cant swap onto your current card. this also applies to the exit
- planning for reaching the exit is fun
- better multiplay indicator on affected cards (took until i targeted an exit card to notice the (x2))
- it would be fun if destroying or multiplaying the exit did something interesting

this is fantastic! incredible depth for such a simple (and compact!) concept. really enjoy the rising audio, adds a lot of tension! best is 1446 :)

fantastic!!! ive been excited for this ever since i saw your teaser clips, and it did not disappoint! at first i found the eager re-generating to be a bit frustrating, but after playing several runs i came back around to liking it. very fun!! we'll see how long this time stands haha

this is awesome, i really like the back and forth concept. my score probably wont last long but we'll see :)

aaah this is fantastic!! i really love how the combination of bullets for points and shooting one at a time makes for a really delicate risk/reward for the player, making you want to stay in the center of danger as long as you can last. the subtle nudging adds a lot to the difficulty. best is 1642

really good, this might be the hardest to control i've played yet. it really emphasizes the self-guided risk/reward. best so far is 109

your brain is so beautiful. figuring this one out was so enjoyable, i feel like ive never interacted with a game like this before, in terms of mobility. really difficult, but the flow state is so fun. really nice music too my best is this much

ough this is so good. and really hard, it's like i'm constantly running a collision solver in my head. i love the dynamic colors and sounds. really neat subtle mechanics, like having a bit of control over where orbs spawn. best is 71

this is so tricky but so good. despite its simplicity everything feels consciously designed, e.g. the colored bars existing closer to the opposite side self-balances with those sides being safer for that color. really fun mental coordination switching between keeping track of each color. best is 74

damn this is hard!! i really enjoyed figuring out the controls. really challenging, really satisfying. best so far is 10

haha no worries! oh man i love this. keeping track of time is so difficult and soo satisfying, im surprised i havent played more games that focus on this as a core mechanic. this is a perfect embodiment of self-balancing, getting higher scores requires putting increasing difficulty on yourself

really fun! the timer length feels perfectly matched to be really difficult but not impossible to grab everything. really good music and art

me too :) very fun, the grab provides so many options

sorta tangential, and not a manifesto, but I think about harmonyzone's definition of a video game a lot. it's much more interesting to reflect on something like this, even if it's a joke

I think it's unfortunate that search engines have gotten so much worse, googling used to be a genuine skill.
To be clear about my stance, I have no interest in policing others, this is entirely personal. I don't want to tell you how to feel about using ai.

I love learning, and I love spending time learning. Part of that is appreciating who I'm learning from (even in small ways, like a forum user I'll see the name of one time).
I would rather click through a dozen web pages of humans sharing their knowledge than read some generated aggregate of their words, even if that means getting the answer ten times as slowly. (not only out of principal, it's likely I'll come across surrounding info that may be helpful in other contexts, but that's not the point). I admit that my position is maybe unreasonable to people.

Using ai for learning has its own problems (veracity of info, etc.), but the biggest imo is the danger in how easy it is to close the gap between learning and implementing. "ai taught me how to write an outline shader, so I put it right in". If any stage in that process feels gross to you, why not prevent it altogether by abstaining from the start.

this looks great :) I wrote a pixel upscaling algorithm a while ago that you might be interested in, it's structurally similar to xBRZ but it's resolution-agnostic, so it may be nice for 3D depending on what looking for: torcado.com/cleanEdge (godot implementation: gist.github.com/torcado194/e... )

updated! pico-8 wizard @werxzy.itch.io provided some really nice optimizations, now it runs flawlessly even with the funny 3d mode enabled :) I also made some improvements to the physics system. now carried objects behave much nicer, no more double pushes!

I got bored the other day and finally took the plunge into playing around with pico8. I started by writing a custom platformer physics system, and the goal evolved to me trying to handle every notoriously difficult feature people run into. here's one-ways, moving platforms, boxes, rigid carrying...

this is really good, and really hard!! i love the overlapping systems without relying on stats, and gaining special abilities from surviving panic, lots of neat ideas. and the art is great!

Oeuf is an incredible (and difficult!) game that i had the pleasure to help playtest! increpare also sent some fun goodies as thanks, which is maybe the coolest thanks i've been given for playtesting a game. go play it!
Oeuf-themed goodies including several egg-based stickers, a thank you note, and an egg origami instruction sheet and result
