While Western studies show life satisfaction hits rock bottom in midlife, rural China tells a different story—young adults at just 21 are the LEAST satisfied group. What's behind this? Read this new paper from Longitudinal and Life Course Studies to find out doi.org/10.1332/1757...
A chart showing Life satisfaction across individuals of different ages at baseline. Life satisfaction scores range between 1 to 5. The curve is J shaped with life satifaction scores starting low and reaching the lowest point at age 21 (satisfaction score of 3.5). This slowly increase until age 25 when increase becomes steeper.
