That's untrue. Since the implementation of the second apron, the number of players on team rosters has remained the same and annual salaries have increased by nearly $1.3 billion resulting in pay increases of approximately 30% for all classes of players.

Bobby Marks did a video on this the other day, and this is basically what he said the Knicks could afford to give Towns if they want to avoid the second apron. So, yeah, no wonder it isn't working out. Would help some if we could go into the second apron in 28/29 and 29/30, but it's still tough.
