Köln gamescom headsup: someone just tried to swipe my bag, someone noticed and warned me, I bolted after them and managed to retrieve it. People are hunting for gamescom targets.

Yep, as the image says. Ideally looking to chat with fellow producers about the things producers do. Compare and contrast, you know. If you were looking to pitch to Fireshine, I can pass your details on to our team of fine scouts.

#DigitalDragons. I'm going. Are you? I've never attending the show before so looking forward to it. Already have some meetings planned but do let me know if you wanted a chat about anything with a producer dude from @fireshinegames.bsky.social or maybe just point me in the direction of pierogies.

Heading to Develop in Brighton again this year. Always a really great time. We (Fireshine Games) are nominated for a couple of awards so I'm even attending that! Hopefully will still get plenty of time to catch up with folk and overdose on the free ice cream. Anyone else attending?

Been playing Days Gone for around 40 hours and I've just clicked to what has been my major issue with it. You can't whistle for your bike.

I have one more credit to use before I cancel my Audible (until the next trial offer at least). I would love to use it on something production / project management or game design focused if possible. Any recommendations, folks? #gamedev #production #projectmanagement #games

Had my first experience of not being able to book a GP appointment. When told I responded with "oh, okay. No problem". The lady offered me a complaints email and seemed genuinely taken aback when I told I would not be needing it. She seemed so genuinely happy and surprised that I didn't kick off.

Made a decision towards the end of last year to dedicate (most) of my free time to reading the books I've bought but not read. This is what I've read this year so far... A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab Scalped (full run) by Jason Aaron & R.M. Guera Rebel Without a Crew by Robert Rodriguez

Wheel of Time. There are a lot of pages in that series... Hesitating on picking up the first for 99p. Me being me i'll want to do the whole thing if I start so, worth it?

I've been working my way through my comic book backlog. Just completed the @brianmbendis.bsky.social Superman run (12 books). Didn't let me down. Can think of only two times a comic book has choked me up. Both were Bendis, both involved a secret identity reveal and both were newspaper editors.

TonyEvs @tonyevs.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

Finished watching Midnight Mass on the journey home last night. Thought it very good with everything making sense for the story and characters. Religion makes me uneasy so I was on edge from the start and they cast the very religious folk very well.

TonyEvs @tonyevs.bsky.social · 06/12/2024

Was on the National Express when the weather alerts went out for tonights storm. Felt like a movie with everyone's phone going off at the same time.

010

TonyEvs @tonyevs.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

Finished Jedi Survivor last night. Kinda buggy (had a horrible one that took me 30 mins to realise was an issue, fortunately a reload fixed), often infuriating as I got lost quite a few times (could just be me) but when it's said and done it was Star Wars and I was a damn Jedi.

For some inexplicable reason, I've started to go through all my tweets, one by one and deleting them when I have a spare 10 minutes or so. I guess I don't trust the blanket, close account option. Feels a touch safer but what really gets deleted these days. It's somewhat 'interesting'.

210

TonyEvs @tonyevs.bsky.social · 29/11/2024

On my bus trips back and forth London (from Cardiff) been working through the Mike Flanagan series on Netflix. Really enjoyed the 'Haunting' ones but a little over halfway through Midnight Mass and it's hitting different. I knew nothing about it going in so everything more impactful. 2 more to go.

Anybody got any #audible recommendations? Have a few credits on a trial. Tend to go crime fiction or movie themed with a bit of sci fi thrown in but open to most things. Also, maybe especially, looking for gems in the free plus catalogue please. #audiobook

Never a good sign to see your hometown on the main BBC news. Pontypridd has taken another kicking in the storm. Floods galore.

TonyEvs @tonyevs.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

The biggest issue I'm having with playing Jedi Survivor is that its shortcut on my desktop is next to Balatro. Feel it's pull like a jedi mind trick.

Watching: Interior Chinatown on Disney Plus. Two episodes in, good fun so far. Interesting too.

010

TonyEvs @tonyevs.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Yeah... I might have overdosed on the starter packs... No regrets. I wanted my Bluesky to be predominately games related so looking forward to learning some things from interest people.

TonyEvs @tonyevs.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

Next game: Star Wars: Jedi Survivior. Completely forgot I'd even bought this. Guess that happens with Epic Games Store. Got a bunch of stuff I should play in there actually. Time to reaquint myself with BD8 who may be the best Droid in SW btw. May the force be with me.

Playing Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town today. I'm a massive point and click adventure game fan. Secret of Monkey Island is my GOAT. Willy Morgan is a p&c and feature pirates. Please, please, please keep the nods and references to the bare minimum... I'm begging you.

That's Horizon 2 wrapped up. Just shy of 50 hours. Liked it well enough. I found it very wordy (I never skipped a Lance Reddick line though!) but I still wanted to know what happened next. Was always going to be an Horizon 3.

010

TonyEvs @tonyevs.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Current game: Horizon 2 Forbidden West (almost done) Current book: Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Current TV: Haunting of Bly Manor, Silo, Penguin Last film: The Remarkable life of Ibelin (cried like a baby)

Long week? Using public transport? What I like to do is throw this song on (especially the section from 1 min 33 secs) and look at different people on the tube for each line. Cheers me up no end. Try it. Have a good weekend folks. youtube.com/watch?v=cKi2...
