Today was also a well-deserved celebration for Craig Dellimore. He’s officially retired after 40+ years on the airwaves. A resolution was read in his honor, and the city named the radio side of the press corps office after him. I’m so appreciative of his work and generosity. 📸 : Vashon Mitchell

Just in: Chicago City Council members voted 27-22 to allow the CPD superintendent to call a curfew with a 30-minute notice. However, there aren't enough "yes" votes to prevent Mayor Brandon Johnson from vetoing it. Johnson used his veto power last year against a ShotSpotter ordinance.

Today, about 100 faith and civil rights leaders gathered outside the Target in the Loop to demand that the company recommit to its DEI practices. There’s been a national boycott of Target since January, and it has been called one of the most significant boycotts since the Montgomery bus boycott.
