My friend Muyao has been building Phroller, which started out as a physics-based dice roller and has grown into a VTT. I contributed The King in Giallo, embedded as an example of how to integrate game documents. #TTRPG #VTT phroller.com

I also created a playlist for tracks that I haven't played since creating the server, and one for tracks with subpar bitrates, marked for upgrade.

With the Smartlists plugin for Jellyfin, I made a dynamic playlist off all the tracks in my library in ambient and ambient-adjacent genres. I call it "Tone Salad" github.com/jyourstone/j...

A nicely chilled Tone-sized plate of ambient/downtempo beats and grooves.

As a kid, I recorded myself singing Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes," gave it a listen, determined it to be terrible, and never sang again. Most of the people on Joey Herbz's Most Worst Music segment aren't this self-aware. And it's refreshing to hear something so unpolished www.youtube.com/@JoeyHerbz

The recent surge in ICE enforcement across the San Diego region, including near schools and college campuses, has created fear in our communities. Join me Oct. 2 from 5:30–6:30 PM for a Know Your Rights webinar to learn about your rights, resources and what to do if you encounter ICE.

Fortunately, those infected files are from a Windows backup I'll probably never boot again, and from the Wabberjack mod manager. Probably being flagged for being executables in C:/Wabbajack

A dog out-wrestled me once. I was play fighting with a friend's lab, Dieter, and I pinned him good. His owner came out to do the count. Dieter kicked out at 2 and half. I was laughing so hard, Dieter turned it around and pinned me for the full count.

I installed Nextcloud on my homelab. Mostly for the calendar and contacts. One has to be careful when importing calendars though. Importing over 1500 entries at once (I'm very popular) crashed my server. I broke them up into 100 line files and processed them one at a time. nextcloud.com

Was going to add this book to the ESPionage reading list, It's on theme; spies, psychics, and liminal spaces. But I couldn't finish it. The narrator of the 3rd act uses the F-word once or twice per sentence. Reading it was like being stuck on a flight near a potty-mouthed dude who never shut up.

Two weeks ago we came home for the grocer light one avocado. We assumed it got left behind at the checkout. Found it yesterday in one of the tote bags. Two weeks in this heat transformed it into the fruit of nightmares.

My upcoming game from Osprey Games, Midnight Heroes, is a hybrid of FAE and Fate Condensed. I ran FAE for years in my home games and started integrating material from Condensed when it came out. Dresden Accelerated and the Young Centurions games have been a huge influence.

This morning, I unloaded five 50 pound dead batteries from a rack mounted UPS, loaded the replacements, and hauled the dead ones off for recycling. No one else at my company is capable of this. How should I include this on my tech resume?

Not just the quality of the music, but of the recording. There's one that I get all the time that sounds like it's playing off a worn out magnetic tape from the 1980s.
