Aside from a bit of a slow, less motivated, start to the week, I'm pretty happy with what I've written so far. Writing question for y'all. I'm writing a book that takes place in Ancient Rome. I'm trying my hardest to remain historically accurate even though the story is pure fiction. When using Roman cities and roads, should I use the Latin versions or English versions?

Well I feel into another Ancient Roman rabbit hole. Posca. Posca was one of the most popular drinks of Ancient Rome. It was water, vinegar (or spoiled wine), and herbs (such as coriander). It was consumed primarily by the Roman Legions, which is how I fell down the rabbit hole to begin with.

While doing research for my Roman era book, I learned about the Ancient Roman "postal service", called the Cursus Publicus. An efficient delivery system was needed for the Roman administration to succeed, due to its large size and many continuous conflicts, both internally and externally.
