The 2nd generation Chevrolet Bolt improves on a vehicle that was great to start with. The 2027 version charges faster, goes farther, gets full Super Cruise too. But what’s with the “limited run” status? I thought that was for pop-up bagel shops. #automotive bit.ly/4s0WF5z

2027 Chevy Bolt: America's Most Affordable EV Is Surprisingly Good #automotive
The 2027 Chevrolet Bolt is back, starting under $29,000 with 262 miles of EPA-rated range, much faster DC charging and a surprisingly refined driving experience. It’s arguably America’s best EV buy. The second-generation Chevrolet Bolt looks a lot like the outgoing Bolt EUV, but there are significant changes under the skin. There's a new 210-horsepower electric motor, a 65-kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery, updated electronics, a NACS charging port and a redesigned interior. Most importantly, DC fast charging now peaks at 150 kW, easily twice as fast now. Tom tests a fully equipped 2027 Bolt RS with the Technology Package, panoramic glass roof and GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving system. He explores real-world range, acceleration, handling, ride comfort, one-pedal driving, passenger space and cargo capacity. And yes, there's the famous toilet paper trunk test. The Bolt has some compromises. Interior plastics are hard, the seats might not fit larger drivers, and there's no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto phone projection. GM's Google-based infotainment system, however, has some compelling advantages. How does the new Chevy Bolt compare with the Nissan Leaf, Kia EV3 and other affordable electric vehicles? And why is General Motors bringing back such a promising EV for only a limited production run?
