Gil @tompaxton.bsky.social · 24/04/2025The hatred started after the 1963 FA Cup semi final. This picture seemed to show Banks laughing at St John who was in tears. Banks got lots of abuse when he next played at Anfield but the Liverpool fans soon grew to love him and he them. Tragically he lost his eye the day after playing at Anfield. 020
