We've tried traditional mindfulness interventions for math anxiety, but students found them boring. With Momoka sites.google.com/view/momoka-..., we've built the "Gyaru*Mindful Math Tutor," combining mindfulness and Japanese positive "Gyaru" principles. And hey, students like it so much!! #mtbos

Biggest difference (that I experience) in publishing and writing in Germany vs US might be that now I get LOTS of reviews asking why I chose to collect data in Germany... 🫤. Nobody questioned when I wrote papers on data from US schools.

In Germany you are expected to follow rules, but everyday I feel like my job is to find ways to get around the rules, together with my secretary. Today we fought against HR who questioned how doing interviews is a scientific activity.
