"I wrote a Skill for that" Yo, you wrote detailed documentation in a markdown file is what you did. How come you couldn't do that before now?

remember when coders used to be like "i rendered this entire fully raytraced 3d scene using just 4kb and i could have probably gotten it down to two and a half if the event was 3 days instead of 2", now all they know is ask claude, be on they phone, make chip hot and lie

Sometimes I say "I will die on this hill" about something I care about, but I'm increasingly thinking: you know, I don't have to die on the hill; I could just visit it often for picnics and such.

Nope; if you're giving that context to an LLM about me that you wouldn't want me to see, then either have the chutzpah to tell me to my face or don't bother emailing me at all 🙃

TomNomNom @tomnomnom.com · 13/02/2026
Instead of sending an email generated by an LLM, just send the prompt instead. It's shorter for the recipient to read, they can more clearly see your true intent, it's cheaper, better for the environment, and if they really want to: the recipient can feed it into an LLM to get the long version.

There is a new autistic barbie out, but no one is talking about her mother, undiagnosed computer engineer barbie about to get the surprise of her life when she starts to argue with the evaluator that these are all normal childhood behaviours that she had when she was the same age.

Also (obligatory "I am not a doctor" disclaimer): hyperglycaemia, though not good, is generally not immediately dangerous, whereas hypoglycaemia can cause death. It was explained to me as: if they can't tell you, assume a diabetic in trouble is hypo and give them sugar; never insulin

TomNomNom @tomnomnom.com · 01/01/2026
They definitely can be both hyperglycaemic or hypoglycaemic, and you'd take insulin to treat the former (and sugars for the latter). Neither would be described as "suffering from low insulin" though; it's the glucose levels that are high or low.

Low insulin? Not low blood sugar? We need to improve education for paramedics.
