That’s a very convincing win, everybody good but Bogle probably my MOTM just ahead of Tarik & Justin. Honestly thought that the Barcodes were wretched today, shocked to see it’s their first loss of the season. Shame to concede late on but still unbeaten & up to 3rd, can’t complain. #lufc

Somewhat disrespectful of Daniel Farke to deliberately choose three subs that might set a record for shortest combined height in PL history. #lufc

Genuinely don’t understand how Okafor has caught that so sweetly & managed not to hit anything else on the way through the box. #lufc

Quite a half that, at times redolent of the best performances from our Championship stint but against much better opposition. Hornícek beaten three times but only his efforts have kept this from being a humiliation. No let up now, we have to be resolute at the back & take our chances. #lufc

They crediting that third goal to the Keeper I assume? #lufc

Who’d have thunk the secret to a strong offense in football would ultimately prove to be fielding three right-backs, none of whom are really playing at right-back? #lufc

Who can forget the orderly, carefully thought out & above all smooth transition of ownership from Ken Bates to Ken Bates to GFH to Massimo Cellino to Andrea Radrizzani to 49ers Enterprises? #lufc

Honestly can’t be mad at a point on the road, particularly at the Amex. Had loads of chances to win it but so did they. Another game where we ran into a good side slightly ahead of us & a draw was the right result. Thought Tanaka was terrific, shame the subs didn’t work but still unbeaten! #lufc

My most ‘old man shouts at cloud’ opinion is that if you pay a footballer a certain amount of money per week you should be able to make him get a haircut. It’s a white player in case you are worried that this is a problematic post. #lufc

I rate this team & I like Farke trying something different & using more of the squad. It’s going to be a very tough match but we’ve given them something else to think about with three in the midfield, two up top & Justin in the Rodon role. Can always change it off the bench again. #lufc

The window shuts with a French flourish in the shape of Melvin Bard, Jean-Mattéo Bahoya & perhaps best of all, Monaco stiffing Chelsea seemingly just for the fuck of it. Allez les Bleus! #lufc

Very disappointed to see Willy Gnonto go. Not just because I like him as a player but because we’re looking increasingly short of numbers up top & the option means if he has a good season we can’t capitalise on it either. Glad he’ll actually get some football for the sake of his career. #lufc

Absolutely take that. Brentford genuinely very good & credit to the subs for changing the game. Nmecha continues to be one of the most confusing footballers ever but did the job for us again. DCL off the mark too. Pray for Rodon, such an important player for us, can’t afford to lose him. #lufc

How do we feel about recalling Sam Byram? #lufc

Can probably just about get away with not bringing in more outfield players if we keep some of our more flexible squad players like for example Willy Gnonto, who has played out wide, up front & even at wing-back. He’s still quite young & I can see this being a big season for him…oh hang on. #lufc

One noticeable thing about our transfer strategy is that I suspect we paid larger fees for Tarik & Trafford because they’re both 23, which hopefully represents a solid investment one way or another. Some other names we’ve been linked with are that much older & likely won’t retain their value. #lufc

$160 dollars going to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force instead of Daniel’s warchest. If we can’t find support for DCL & another left-back before the window closes we know who to blame. #lufc

Sam Byram’s return to Leeds Utd was an unexpected bonus & it’s nice to see he’s secured a move to another club on the way up. By all accounts a terrific sort & every time he got on the pitch he did a good job for us. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if we see him back in some capacity one day. #lufc

The critical mistake that Largie Ramazani & Mateo Joseph made was to go out & play football in an effort to force themselves back into contention, a real baller would have spent that time banned from competitive football for failing a drug test. #lufc

As much as I’m sure a new PL season would be an enjoyable ride, let’s just call it here shall we? Think it might have peaked already. #lufc

Would have been content with a point but did feel that we edged that despite looking raggedy at times. Perhaps the most reassuring thing is that the defence still looked resolute without Struijk or Guddy. Always felt that if we hung on in there we could nick it, bodes well for the season. #lufc

Probably one of the worst if not the worst game I’ve seen Anton Stach have in a Leeds shirt & it doesn’t matter one iota. Knew it was going in when he lined it up. Pure class. #lufc

Daniel, my brother in Christ, bring Sean Longstaff on. #lufc

Tommy @tommy-lufc.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Decent start but need to get control of this game or it will get away from us. DCL likely denied a goal by offside Wilson & Trafford kept at least one out at the other end. We should bring Longstaff on at the earliest opportunity, Stach not at the races today. Okafor & Nmecha later on. #lufc

Clearly operating on more of a ‘some dickheads’ rule moving forward then? #lufc

Watched the goals from last season recently & Brenden was noticeably involved more than I’d remembered. Likewise Bogle, who is similarly relentless & perhaps also undervalued in certain quarters. Happy that both look to be staying for a while longer yet. #lufc

Joel Piroe aka Sleepy Joel bears the distinction of being only the second Leeds Utd footballer I have bestowed a nickname upon & it stuck. The other was Pierre-Michel Lasogga aka Soggy Pete. Perhaps I should refrain from doing so again with his replacement. #lufc

Good win against an admittedly overawed opponent but I think there might be a few of those this season. Basically just do that ten times at home this season & we stay up again. Do it a few times on the road too & the sky is the limit. Everyone looking in decent nick, should be reet. #lufc

Giants all over the park, centre-halves barrelling down the wings & defenders scoring overhead kicks - Leeds United are becoming the football equivalent of the Savannah Bananas & let me tell you I am here for it. #lufc
