We saw the recent example of AI adding a random clock to the wall of a pic it was touching up. And now here, with the simple mandate of, "Add text to provided photo," out can't help but screw with it. So no matter how benign the use, there's no guarantees that what comes out is what you put in.

... and it mangled the text and logos on her shirt. Hell, they didn't even pay enough attention to see that it messed up the program's logo on her shirt! And that's the thing. You can't rely on anything that comes out of it.

Now, I'm 95% sure what they did was feed her pic into AI and go, "Use this pic to create a poster stuff this information." All it needed to do was put text boxes around her. Instead, it removed her blurry gym background and replaced it with another blurry gym background...

My trainer and I got to witness firsthand the inherent untrustworthiness of GenAI. My trainer is a local instructor for a class that runs in gyms across the country/world. The program took a pic of her on a program shirt to use on a social media post the just did.

At Way Too Late O'clock, I just finished Wolverine. I enjoyed it quite a bit. The cast was all great and I thought the story was pretty interesting. Think everybody whinging about it being a shorter linear game needs to sit down. Not everything needs to be 100hrs & Wolverine's length works well.

I haven't been keeping up... is it controversial to say that I've been enjoying Wolverine? Took me a minute to get my hands around the combat, but once I found the flow state for that, it's been a lot of fun. All the characters are well acted & I'm invested in the story so far.

I think the issue is that the opposite is so baked into video game RPG's.... you can/should do everything. I'll fully admit that I'm often slow to progress main quests because I'm don't want to risk losing side quests. I'm interested in Dawnwalker, but that'll be a tough instinct to overcome

I was hoping for a better conclusion to La'an's thread this season. Going back to last season, she straight up lost control and went a bit nuts 3 times (as Romulan, on a haunted ship, and on shore leave).... and all she needed was a break on a fantasy planet to address it?

This is actively turning me off of using large chunks of the internet that I hands or use to frequent often.... having to question EVERYTHING is just exhausting to the point of not wanting to participate at all if I don't have to.

I know the studio apparently ran out of money before launch and furloughed everybody before launch, with the hopes that it does well enough to bring everybody back. They hit a home run on their first game, so I definitely hope they get to come back and keep expanding on ZCOM or make new games.

Really enjoyed the main base hub where you could run around and talk to your operators. Added a nice bit of personality that these sorts of games often don't have. Voice acting was done well and I liked interacting with my operators.

Difficulty was pretty low. I was playing on hard (2nd highest difficulty) and I rarely felt in danger. Plenty of good, tense moments, but there was only 1 or 2 missions where I thought things were getting out of hand. And this was with me almost always playing with a random squad.

Finished Star Wars: Zero Company tonight and enjoyed it a lot. If you like turn-based tactical strategy games, there's a lot to love there. If you're on the fence about the genre, it's a great place to start. Has some good tactical play while being FAR more forgiving than most games in the genre.

The obsession with "needing" games to be 100+ hrs is actively making gaming worse. Being really big and long works great for a lot of games...... but there's lots of others that just end up being bloated and tedious and would have been far better if done more concisely
