Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Just seen the excellent @lukehaines.bsky.social power trio at the Portland Arms in Cambridge. Superb show. Lots of great songs about british wrestlers, and 70s kids TV. And even a few classic Auteurs songs thrown in for good measure. 2112
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 05/06/2026Letting AI choose my viewing tonight. It has recommended the film “I Saw the TV Glow”. It is on Netflix, so I guess I better watch it. 100

Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 07/02/2026Watched Sinners. Very enjoyable if slightly daft film. Loved the mash up of genres, and the superb musical sequences. Not convinced it really needed the vampires though. 030

Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 31/05/2025This #doctorwho season has been great, up until that finale. What a mess of an episode. Wasted villain, poor pacing, confusing plot, nothing resolved, and yet another novelty regeneration. 020
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 18/05/2025Yesterday I attempted to make a Victoria sponge. Thought it came out quite well. 110
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 05/05/2025Spent some of the bank holiday weekend watching a couple of great films Flow, and Anatomy of Fall. Both excellent, both very different. 100
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 06/04/2025Catching up on Tarantino films, and finally watched Inglourious Basterds. Thought it was pretty boring, too long, and too many 2d characters. Best part was probably Christopher Waltz’s evil/comedy Nazi, and David Bowie’s Cat People on the soundtrack. 000
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 10/03/2025Made a Biscoff cake! Need to get better at icing, other than that it went quite well. Was a hit with the Biscoff fans in the houses. 020
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 08/03/2025Visited “Interlaced” a curious exhibition of “Textile and Computational” art at All Saints Church in Cambridge today. 020
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 08/02/2025Finally got round to watching Alien prequel Prometheus. A confused, but watchable film that tries to be both philosophical and action sci-fi, but fails at both. Michael Fassbender is superb as an android, ironically the only character with any depth. Not sure if I’ll bother with Alien Covenant. 000
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 01/02/2025Just rewatched Aftersun, after initially watching it yesterday. What a mesmerising film, and better with the rewatch. Great use of music to provide setting, and hint at the plot, including a spectacular scene set to Under Pressure, that will stay with me for a long time. 000
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Hmm, guess I'm a cross between a "6 music dad" and "centrist dad". Don't do vinyl, but I do have strong views on economic growth. 🤔 010
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 07/12/2024Looks like I listened to a lot of #thecure this year! The new album is great, and proper gloomy (in a good way 🤣) 000

Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 24/11/2024Have been listening a lot to Moin’s new album You Never End. Looping post rock riffs, mesmerising drums, and interesting vocals samples give the whole thing an almost dub like feel. Reminds me of Burial, but with guitars. Highly recommended. 000

Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 17/08/2024Watched the Nicolas Cage revenge thriller “Mandy” last night. A Mansonesque religious cult, a Cenobite biker gang, a chainsaw duel, trippy animation, bloody violence and a King Crimson and Jóhann Jóhannsson soundtrack provide quite the ride. Highly recommended if any of that sounds appealing! 000
Tom Jefferys @tomjefferys.bsky.social · 14/08/2024Seen on holiday recently. Didn’t dare feed it. 1180
