Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Interesting to think about what positive things could have been done with that amount of money instead of a campaign that likely will have very little impact on the outcomes of the race. 120
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 20/09/2026This is the main issue I bring up when I am asked if I support the Mayor and why I do not believe he has done a good job in the role. We need someone who can strengthen relationships and respect who is best to lead which endeavor. Hoping he will become more collaborative as he finishes out his term. 000

Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 17/09/2026I made a poll because recent surveys did not provide information I was looking for. Tried to navigate Reddit to share it since there seem to be people interested in politics on there. I appreciate learning more about the distinctions and connotations between the different subs. 100
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 17/09/2026I spend about as much time on reddit as I spend on here 😅 I also posted it to Instagram and Nextdoor. Took a break to canvass and join Next Up for their City Council watch event. 000

Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 17/09/2026I’ll post it here as well. I was on a Zoom presenting the information from the general survey about the city and the city council. It made me curious about more councilor specific information so made my own survey. 100

Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 11/09/2026 I am not going to argue against any of that and have attended a local forum on human trafficking that brought a lot of people from different perspectives. One thing that is true is the PPB needs some serious reform and am glad that we have at least one hopeful candidate for the OCPA director role. 000
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 11/09/2026I am also not interested in providing more resources to any bureau or agency without acquiescence to oversight and accountability. I attended the OCPA director candidate event last night because that role is extremely important for us to move forward with public safety. 010
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 11/09/2026I have heard some compelling arguments for increased staffing for investigating matters such as human trafficking and other detective focused issues. Would I prioritize their budget in the general fund next year when we will certainly be in another budget shortfall over other items, no. 111
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Unsure why asking for time to ensure we can find ways to hold ISQ accountable would face any resistance at all. 240
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 02/09/2026My concern is the waiving of city code that provides meaningful inclusion and engagement of constituents that will be directly impacted. Circumventing their ability to participate undermines the outcomes that are being sought. 000
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Thank you for providing some things to think about 👀 I have heard that the burden for new sidewalks and repair falls upon homeowners. With cost of living out of control and fixed incomes... it seems unrealistic that we can depend on that to finish paving certain areas of town. 000
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 01/09/2026The City is currently involved in Tozer, et al. v. City of Portland is the federal ADA lawsuit addressing sidewalk obstructions caused by homeless encampments in the city. I believe in protecting access for all and there needs to be some serious guardrails with guiding people to the right services. 210
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Protecting PCEF just like any voter approved measures is a priority. The other two require a bit more nuance in response than a quick Bluesky reply allows. I have been investing a lot of time getting to know the support services we have and their relationship with different government entities. 110

Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 15/08/2026My prediction for the City Council District 3 race is that if everyone keeps their current strategy the most likely outcome will be Morillo, Novick, and Torres. 210
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Also, not to compare apples to oranges but times of extreme weather or poor air quality there are regular posts encouraging people to go the the Lloyd Center… the Moda Center? Not even once that I can recall. 000
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 10/08/2026People criticize me for stepping up for the Save Lloyd adaptive reuse goals but they just make more sense considering… “We're going to demo Lloyd Center next month. Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 07/08/2026I think there needs to be more scrutiny of Jessica Vega Pederson due to their hiring of a lobbyist and a watchdog group formed to track potential kickbacks for of all elected representatives that have brazenly abused their trusted positions to undermine efforts for a transparent or good faith deal. 050
Tom Sollitt for Portland (D3) @tomforpdx.bsky.social · 22/07/2026If I was on Council today, I would have advocated for and voted for this.
