Your 13th Councilor, see you around town! I am campaigning solo without typical organizational support and stretched pretty thin so might be slow on here. www.tomforpdx.com www.instagram.com/tomforpdx Follow =/= endorsement!

My prediction for the City Council District 3 race is that if everyone keeps their current strategy the most likely outcome will be Morillo, Novick, and Torres.

People criticize me for stepping up for the Save Lloyd adaptive reuse goals but they just make more sense considering… “We're going to demo Lloyd Center next month. There's another 30 acres of dirt that-we don't even have an investment plan on that now" -Mayor Wilson, July 28 2026 on CityCast

I think there needs to be more scrutiny of Jessica Vega Pederson due to their hiring of a lobbyist and a watchdog group formed to track potential kickbacks for of all elected representatives that have brazenly abused their trusted positions to undermine efforts for a transparent or good faith deal.

If I was on Council today, I would have advocated for and voted for this. It just makes more sense and am baffled that some of our current Councilors are so cavalier with people's livelihoods, the essential services they provide, and their definitions of compromise.

To the Portlanders who are looking for another progressive option in this race I see you. I won’t claim a label because it is politically convenient or to win votes. Consider supporting this campaign by donating this week so I can stay viable and ensure another option to evaluate by November.

To give a little context about my background in community-based work for anyone who's interested that is new: • Co-founder of OMW • Founder of Rose City Wellness (later brought on a co-founder) • Co-founder of Yeondae • Founder of Asian American Town • Producer of the Legendary Makers Market

Yesterday was filled with contrast, I watched children do more to courageously step up to advocate and represent the interests of their community in front of City Council, while watching elected leaders and their employees at maybe their direction work hard to put the interests of Portlanders last…

An employee was asked how much Moda was paying for the naming rights for the Moda Center... “Terms were not disclosed, but the total value of the deal is believed to be about $40 million.” www.oregonlive.com/blazers/2013...

It felt right to stand side by side with the communities mobilizing and organizing to save part of the Lloyd Center and its historic Ice Rink today.

My biggest takeaway from the City Council meeting to discuss the Moda Center renovations is a reminder of how consequential unelected positions in government are… #portland #pdx

I’ve been producing events to prepare for different situations related to campaigning or being a sitting councilor. I had a lot of fun doing a mock debate with Amir Kat and Marcus French at the Covert Cafe. If I can survive going toe to toe with top tier comedians I think I can take on anything.

I think some people in local politics are still trying to figure out why my campaign appears to keeps growing despite me not running a traditional fundraising first campaign 😏

Glad to see both candidates I endorsed from my Asian American community platforms won their races and hopefully brought more attention to the importance of local Judge and Metro Council elections. Congratulations to Judge Joanna Perini-Abbott and Metro Councilor Miles Palacios!

Before attending the 350 PDX candidate speed panel and mixer I reflected on the different opportunities I have had to explore climate related work directly so far this year.

Do you find the Portland Budget exhausting to go through? So do I and was glad to trial run what I hope can become a way to involve the public in major challenges like the budget yesterday. I invited a small diverse group ideologically and experience to go through the budget amendments together.

Stopped by the new East County Library for their grand opening. It was nice to see such an ambitious project meant for the general public to enjoy.

The sold-out return of the Portland Fire proves Portland’s sports culture is bigger than a single franchise. We can negotiate from a position of confidence now, not fear. Portlanders deserve a direct say in if, when, and how tax dollars are used to renovate the Moda. #portland #pdx #portlandor

As one of the only visible immigrants running for Portland City Council it has been interesting to watch the discourse and competition over who is the “most progressive” for immigrants and marginalized communities, politics is more about safety, rights, dignity, and surviving systemic barriers.

One thing that is becoming clear as I attend the budget meetings is that nobody seems to be operating with enough information, data, or understanding to make an informed decision. The Council needs to reject the budget with notes on how to best present the budget to them so they can weigh in on it.

Key roles at PDX 311 are on the chopping block as demand is about to skyrocket. 311 already connects people to both city and county services. We already both fund it. I believe we should amend our intergovernmental agreement with the county to protect budget for existing staffing. #portland #pdx

We’ve seen that coordinated action is possible when leaders decide something matters. With elections coming up, this is our moment to remind them what truly matters to the people they serve. #portland #pdx #portlandoregon #portlandor

Am I crazy for thinking that would it have made more sense for Portland City Council to release one shared budget survey instead of several separate ones? Feels like that would have avoided duplication of staff time, cost, work, & make outreach+participation easier for residents... #portland #pdx
